Thank you so much Josh Holmes and B is for Bravo for taking the time to answer our questions!!
You answered pretty much every single question I had and I am very thankful. Even better than that, the answers were EXACTLY what I was hoping for!

  • No friendly fire in Warzone. Excellent!! - Not voting or veto options in Warzone. Excellent!!! - Players will be kicked if they are AFK and continued AFK violations may result in temporary bans. Excellent!!! - Yes there will be JIP (Join in progress). Excellent!!

Agree, good read.

This will be the first time AFK players get punished. Finally. And no voting is also awesome, I hope we will see this in Arena too.

Yes so nice to finally see Halo implement a kick feature for AFK players. The AFK penalties are also in Arena. That’s what he said in the Q&A when he replied to my question.

Also from what I played in the H5 beta, there will be no voting in Arena either. Similar to Halo 2.

CAMAROBOY69
Will players be kicked if they are AFK?We will detect AFK players in both Warzone and Arena and kick them from the game over time. Continual AFK violations may result in temporary bans from matchmaking.

**CAMAROBOY69****Will Warzone pick random maps, or veto, or a vote system?**Each playlist will rotate through a variety of maps – there won’t be a vote or veto system used

this is going to be a great experience! glad i preorderd it

B is for Bravo is an old MLG Halo player named Andy “Bravo” Dudnsky (sorry if I got the last name wrong Bravo). Josh Holmes is JoshingtonState.

Excellent! Afk players were really an issue in the beta.

I thought Josh Holmes was (B is for Bravo) If I am correct I can edit the first post. I got the info from this thread. https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/forums/6e35355aecdf4fd0acdaee3cc4156fd4/topics/ask-your-warzone-questions-here/1eaba65d-bb2a-4f7a-b2eb-ed123a0bf472/posts

Yes and especially in TMCC. Halo has needed this AFK boot feature for MANY years. So happy to finally see it in H5.

I am still going to wait until after launch to make sure the game is working properly. Don’t really want to relive TMCC again. Though it looks like H5 is going to turn out really good. Especially Warzone. Really wish they would have had a Warzone beta to truly stress test the servers. I am just going to remain cautious. If it launches very well then I will pick it up a couple days later.

I’m 100% prepared for Join in Progress to not work well whatsoever. Over-all I’m still looking forward to this. But lets face it. People usually quit when they’re losing. And you’re gonna get put into matches that are losing. And it’s gonna suck.

I forgot to ask one very important question.

Will we be able to stay with the players after the game ends? Or will we have to search again? Since this is social, hopefully we can remain with the teams so the game starts faster.

Its a social playlists so I don’t mind joining a losing team as long as we can stay together when the match ends. Otherwise we will have to search again.

Bravo is 343i’s Community Manager.

All sounds good to me. I can’t wait for Warzone!!!

I’ll pitch a thank you to Holmes for answering our questions. It was a very fun way to interact with the developers of our beloved franchise!

H5 is shaping up to be an amazing experience for me.

awesome!

Yep, I’m grateful for such a comprehensive response from the 343 team. It’s going a long way to establishing a level of trust that we haven’t really had since Bungie left.

And just to clarify, B is for Bravo is Andy Dudynsky (Twitter handle @Brav), and Josh Holmes (Twitter handle @JoshingtonState) are two different peeps with different roles, in case there was any confusion.

I agree that it was great of Josh to take the time to answer questions. Though @Camaroboy69, I thought you got a little bit too much representation in the questions when hundreds of people replied

Thanks for the clarification. I edited my post thanking both Josh Holmes and B is for Bravo since they were both involved with this Q & A. I also agree, its nice to see the recent effort of 343 to communicate with the community. Especially Josh Holmes and B is for Bravo. Their communication has been excellent lately.

Yep, gotta love dev feedback.

Damn, I miss the BETA.

Glad to see voting go away. Basically just resulted in playing the same thing over and over.
