My mother is very sick in the hospital with congestive heart failure and respatory failure and She won’t make it past Monday. I’m having a very hard time dealing with this news and preparing for a loss. I’ve been very stressed and don’t know what to do. Feel lost. Halo has been my escape. It always has been. I don’t know what I’d do without the stress relief I get from gaming with my friends and my Spartan company. These past few nights games of infection are the only bit of happiness I’ve had. I just want to thank you 343 for this game and thank you the halo community for being the best bunch of gamers in the gaming world. I know sometimes we are divided and we complain about halo and it’s not always perfect but I just want to say I love halo and It’s going to get me though this hard time. I wish the best for everyone and I’ll see you all on the battlefield.

You have my condolences on your situation. I would not dream of telling you how to deal with that situation. Having lost loved ones (a parent and a fiancé being the most important to me), I can only suggest that you take care of yourself and ask for help when you need it.

Thank you so much for your kind words Spartan. Halo and the community is so helpful in getting my mind off of the awful loss.
If it’s any consolation I had a cat die a few weeks ago… snickerdoodle was awesome.
My dad died in December of '04 after about a nine month decline, and I have to say that the launch of Halo 2 in November that year was a Godsend. Right there with you.
