THANK YOU GUYS

There are ragers and little idiots out there who are scared of change and complain about everything. And i know some of them. They complain that Reach was terrible and aa was bad, well screw that guys. They play reach and i bet that was half of their first Halos. Personally, I think you guys are doing great and are going the right way. Keep it up 343i, the real Halo fans still love you!

A large proportion of people disagree with you…

People are afraid of change because there was little change between Halo 2 and 3 where we enjoyed a great community and overall gameplay experience. Then Reach changed everything and Halo died. They have a right to be afraid of change.

Change is not to be feared, if something changed and the community didn’t like it, would they keep it? NO! They may use the same idea and tweak it to what the community may love, then we’ll all feel stupid for insulting the team.

You options are very limited and biased.

Where is the “Keep the basic mechanics and evolve gradually instead of drastically”? I mean isn’t that what CE-3 was doing? Then Reach had to come out and throw all that to the curb and proclaim itself “The Ultimate Halo”… phfft! Nutters.

> Change is not to be feared, if something changed and the community didn’t like it, would they keep it? NO! They may use the same idea and tweak it to what the community may love, then we’ll all feel stupid for insulting the team.

Change should always be feared. Not all change is good, which is what a lot of people fail to realize.

If one team spawned with automatic, bottomless clip Rocket Launchers and the other with nothing, it would be change. Does that automatically make it good in your mind?

Didn’t think so. What people are complaining about isn’t really change anyway. It’s reusing a feature that the community has expressed it’s hate for over the last two years.

No, not what I was talking about, and how the -YOINK- would they let that happen. I mean, they know what they are doing, they are keeping balance in this entire class idea. I know that they will come through and this will work out for the good.

Remember Reach

Well spoken sir.

OP, you present the idea that players who don’t like Halo: Reach aren’t true fans of Halo. I respectively say, “Your wrong, I am a huge Halo fan. I love the storyline, and I love a good multiplayer”.

You say change is good, well, lets take a step back and look at what change got us. A population (yes I am aware of the measurement) in Reach that was less than Halo 3 three years after release. Change is by all means good yes. That is the way we innovate and bring new thresholds to gaming. However, when change spits out a sad excuse for a multiplayer such as Reach, you can appreciate our criticism.

Cheers,

If the human brain wasn’t capable of feeling nostalgia, we wouldn’t be in this mess.

It’s more being fond of great gameplay of previous Halos and comparing it to what we have now, in my humble.
