Thank you for the wonderful launch 343i!

My buddy and I have been waiting to play this game since it was first announced; we’re big Halo fans. This month has been grueling to get through and I was simply running out of patience. But finally, the day has arrived! The minutes leading up to the Guardians unlocking (I had pre-loaded it) my buddy and I were giddily discussing which to play the first, the campaign or multiplayer. Lo and behold, we didn’t even need to make a decision! You know why? Because when I tried to play Guardians, I was prompted with a 9 GB update. Yup. As someone who has a poor internet service, 9 GB is the difference between playing sometime tonight and whenever I’m not busy with work and classes tomorrow. I did not get to enjoy Guardian’s launch with my friends, thank you, 343i. After the MCC debacle, I didn’t think you could disappointment any further.

9 gig update was announced long ago. Not sure if serious or trolling…

This 9 GB update was known for a little while now. A big fan would have known that

You have bad internet. Your fault.

  1. Pre-loaded
  2. I live in the U.S. where a good, fast internet connection isn’t cheap and is hard to come by due to a lack of competition in my area.

Not trolling.

Talking about TMCC… ODST, the skull and the 1 month of XBL were pretty coll after the multiplayer issue …

In other games (CoD, Asassins creed) only receive a sorry message.

I was aware of the 9 GB update. I pre-loaded the game and my Xbox One is in instant-on mode. I was never prompted with a download prior to the game’s launch. Please to spin this as being my fault.

These people don’t get it. I did all the preload stuff right and I’m stuck with 55gb. Check other threads. Tons of other similar issues.

I hear you man. I was getting back into Halo with this game. Waited the past several hours to play it…and here I am almost 2 hours later downloading it. I completely forgot that if you want to play a game on release day you have to buy the disc. I am so angry with this that I am not even going to buy the extra two copies for my family so we can play together. The multiplayer sucks anyway, with its motion sensor and overpowered and overused weapons. I bet they want you to assassinate 5000 players to complete a challenge. Yeah right, like that is going to happen.

At least it is not as craptastic as the Advanced Warfare release. I did not even get to play on day one due to the download issue.

The 9 GB update was supposed to be live on launch, so it wouldn’t have downloaded when you pre-downloaded the main game.
