Thank you for talking the fun out of Halo

OK, maybe not that exactly, but I absolutely hate this new event. I feel like last man standing is designed to punish casual Halo players who cannot possibly realistictly compete in matches to complete grindy challenges. By this point in season one I’d progressed so much further in my unlocks. I am OK playing modes I don’t normally care for to unlock stuff to dome degree, but I feel like this is bordering on ridiculous…

Grinding modes you don’t normally care for is ok. Up to a point. Effort vs reward.

But don’t waste your time or emotional energy on an event you don’t like. Not every event is for everybody. I’m sure, at some stage, there will be an Infection event and I’m not looking forward to that.

Keep the fun in Halo. Play what you want to play.

Although I didn’t like it at first, I did what I did with ranked slayer, I just played to have fun without thinking of challenges and got em anyway, also helped increase my skill + enjoy it more.

Iv’e had matches where I get like 1 kill, and had a couple of matches I won with a killing frenzy, I’m really not fussed about unlocking a cosmetic I’ll probably never use, the satisfaction of taking down someone who just put an over shield on is great :upside_down_face:

Good advice actually. :grinning:

I enjoy the game itself, but am one of those people that just enjoys unlocking stuff. So it kills me that I paid for the season pass and have yet hardly unlocked anything.

Really?

The last couple of people I’ve said the same thing to got upset. Like really upset.

They seemed to think the real answer was to keep playing LSS and that 343 hates them.

Even the event items are easy to pick off. You only had to do five a week. And this week is two for the price of one (challenge).

But again, only if playing a game type you don’t like is worth it.

You have about 175 days to go. Take your time and enjoy the journey.

Although I really want the yellow walkie talkie. It will look soooooo good with my current coating.

Keep in mind playing six games per day earns you a level regardless of the other challenges. Weeklies are an optional way to accelerate progression, but with a six month season ain’t no reason to rush.

Play whatever six games you want and you’ll still earn progress.

Yeah because 343 made a Halo Game for Content Creators rather than true Halo Fans!

My main problem with last man standing is the complete absence of skill matching. I regularly see kill spreads of 19 to 0, 15 to -1 and so on. Good times!

Since they don’t have to mess around with matching teams, I have no clue why they can’t create fair contests.

I dont like LSS at all. That’s the reason why i dont play it. Its sad because im missing all LSS event rewards. But i decided that it is not worth to play a gamemode that i dont like.
This way i stick to my favorites “ranked”, “quick play”, BTB and KOTH. I stopped mid january to grind the weekly rewards and i dont regret my decision. I have much more fun playing what i want and when i want.
This way it takes longer to complete the Battle pass but its ok.

There arent many choices in Infinite. :grinning:

Been spamming feedback at 343 to make Events revolve around a theme and not a playlist but they just refuse to listen.

MCC Seasonal Event: Elite

  • Gain points for killing with melee
  • Gain points for killing with Swords
  • Gain points for killing enemies with Assassinations in Campaign

Infinite Events example:

  • Play this mode x100 times and then go back to playing whatever you like, I guess.

If it were up to me, this Lone Wolves event would revolve around a PvE mode instead. Iratus will corrupt the player’s AI module and the player has to literally “fight their way out of their mind”. Solo Bot Bootcamp against waves of Corrupted Spartan AIs, and you start with your fists. You kill enemies to get ammo and after a set you are let out.

Then you continue the Event by playing and earning score using Banished weaponary, and since every map has at least 1 Banished weapon lying around, this scoring progression can be achieved on literally every map, in literally every mode.

To make the Event easier, Quickplay for the Event will be altered to spawn players with Pulse Carbine + Mangler starts.

Similarly, Tenrai should have been the same, spawning players with Sword and Hammers and make them score with these weapons to progress.

The Progression will be as such:

  • Kills with weapon 100 score
  • 1000 score = 1 tier of the pass
  • 10 tiers mean approximately 100 kills

Isn’t that much easier? And when people are done with the pass, they can enjoy the altered Quick Play playlist until the Event ends, or they can go back to their preferred gamemode.
