Just cancelled my PS4 pre-order and ordered an Xbox One. The game restrictions were the only thing holding me back. Now I can buy the console I really want.
Anyone else do the same?

The kinect isn’t for everyone, but I wouldn’t call it garbage. I do think it should be separate though (That way the X1 could lower the price), but the thing has some pretty great features. It’s just not for gamers =.
Still think Sony and -Yoink!- has talks behind close doors and Sony chickened out and let -Yoink!- show their hand at DRM and they jumped ship. Reports months ago had PS4 requiring DRM and anti-sharing.
I highly expect this to be a standard at whever system comes next. This was a test and in the future you’ll have to pick which system you like, not by what it prevents. Always on was, once every 24 hours, really if you game often it shouldn’t be that big of a deal in today’s world.
Just expect DRM and licenses on things to comes, also did you miss the DRM (-Yoink!- won’t require it, but gaming companies may require this feature.) There is also nothing that says, the first few games that release aren’t DRM, but after that when the systems are all sold the DRM is implemented into the majority of games.
Buy the system you want, don’t buy it because it has features that WON’T EVEN EFFECT YOU!
I was going to buy the X1 after two months either way, let them figure out their RED RING ISSUES.

Love the great news! Almost all my fears were addressed!
Most of the drm didn’t really bother me too much because I would use it only for Halo… So no used games or loaning games for me. But drm and not being allowed to disconnect the Kinect still bugs me.
Already preordered a different console but I will get the Xbox one for sure… When H5 is out and I like what I see. Just want a better forge than Reach and a main classic standard slayer playlist. Not as a separate playlist but as the main showing… Just Halo. Please keep your new crap in custom games and action sack. If there are players spawning with different weapons in the main slayer playlist, I’m not wasting my money. I don’t even care if its as casual as reach with different AA’s off spawn, just give my enemy a chance. Don’t let me pick a precision weapon and allow my clueless enemy to pick an automatic… It’s going to be a slaughter, no bueno… Then he will quit, then I will quit.
Can’t wait for those dedicated servers! (Really hope they don’t make teams higher than 10 vs 10)
So it’s pretty much going to work the same way as the 360 right now? (Except with with better graphic, memory and such.) Having the Kinect always connected still bugs me a bit…I’ll just put a Piece O Paper in front of it when “off”.
In other words…the chances of me getting it have increased.

If they did (just) that, they would have learned from past mistakes and try to make new ones instead of repeating the same as the Arbiter would say “again and again!”.
Even so, they are, indeed, great news.
Still, I´ m waiting for Halo 5 to get the One, since all the interesting titles have a 360 version.
And yes, it feels good to say “suck on that, Sony!” again! muahahahahahaha
