I enjoy Halo Infinite. A few things bug me.
Fortunately, an official went out to people who opted into being contacted for research purposes as part of the Halo Insider program. This churn-related survey asked very specific questions relating to every complaint I’ve seen on this message board (I’m sure I haven’t seen ALL topics on this board to be certain, but yeah). Store prices, challenges, toxic players, and whether or not coatings being available to single vs. all armor cores would turn me off from playing, and more! I should have taken a screenshot before completing the survey…
Unrelated to direct Halo feedback, I was also impressed with the level of accessibility shown in the survey, such as a Low Vision Mode and considerations for people using a device’s text-to-voice reader.
I suspect that the number of positive/negative responses on each issue will determine the priority, but regardless, I’m excited for the future of Halo. They may not respond personally to every topic or twitter thread, but they listen! Whether they want to improve Halo because that means it’s more fun for me or because that means they earn more money, I’m good either way.

I don’t think you’re supposed to talk about the survey.
What’s the first rule of survey club?
Disclaimer: I’m not a member of survey club.

IMO, they probably want to improve it for both reasons. They’re a business, they want to make money, but they want to make money by making good games, and it does seem like they are at least passionate about Halo - even if some of the decisions they make are ones that people disagree with, my read on the situation is even those decisions come from a place of trying to make a better Halo game because they enjoy Halo.

Just because they ask questions doesn’t mean they listen…we’ll only see that with actual actions. As an example, you only have to watch the YT videos with pros and testers that say their feedback was ignored time and time again. They will listen to what they want to listen to and the danger with community feedback is the broad cross section of different views which can mean that they end up either listening to the wrong voices or whatever makes them the most profit rather than what is essential to the core gaming experience…basically they will listen to whatever fits the agenda of management, and we don’t know what that really is.
