Although I would prefer it to be visisble ofcourse that way I dont have to check the website for it, I greatly appreciate you putting ranking in the game.
I realize that some individuals are raging, and thats fine, because theyre just upset about the skill reset, not CSR itself failing. Yes everyone your skill has in fact reset, it will take a couple of weeks to even out, until than you just need to deal with it.
Back on topic, Its nice to be able to have a goal to work towards even if some dont view it that way. As a player who loves the franchise and loathes other FPS games I am very happy that you are progressing and trying to please the community.
There are many things left that can be done, however if you keep trying I cannot be angry. It takes a lot to admit you were wrong, and even though you have pride in what you all did (rightly so) you had humility. Thank you 343, and I hope you continue to listen to the community and progress even more in the future.
I’m not going to flame you, but I will point out a flaw with CSR.
The game is still far too easy, and caters to newer/lesser skilled players. This means that CSR won’t be an accurate representation of a persons skill as the skill gap is vastly reduced.

No, it won’t. On a worldwide basis for you to constantly find players in every CSR it would take you max a week (Judging from Halo 3) - But in the end, it depends on how much you play so you can be placed in your appropriate CSR.

If “yellow” is real and you can keep that 50 for at least 2 weeks while playing on it, then this is also true:
> CSR won’t be an accurate representation of a persons skill
(In terms of Halo 3/2/1 gameplay at least, It probably will in Halo 4 as the skill gap is so reduced everyone is capped at the “max skill”.)

Your points may be true but with someone like yourself, 343 couldn’t win with CSR. You just want gameplay as a whole to be fixed.
It may not accurately rank skill, but it does rank performance. Its just that with a reduced skill gap, performance is less dependent on skill.
I would argue though that since luck balances out over time. Whilst game to game performance may vary based on luck, performance over an extended time period should barely be influence by luck at all.
Its like in poker. Getting dealt good cards gives you an immediate advantage, and allows a new player to beat a more experienced player through luck of the draw (see Ordinance Drops). However over time luck is not a factor, since if you play enough hands, eventually you and your opponent will have been dealt roughly even amount of great and awful hands.
So even though a player might win one game and lose the next, if they are more skilled than the players they are playing against they will gradually move up the ranks as luck balances out.

I have no idea what you just said but I agree with it entirely. (Just kidding I got it.)

H3 & CSR just promoted Boosters and Measuring Contests with an number system. It was annoying back in the day. At least with H4 they put it on the website only so that should lessen the annoyance.
