I apologize if this isn’t the right place, and mods, do whatever you need to do. I just wanted to thank 343i for making vast improvements!
When you first took over, I was overall displeased. I like Halo 4 but wasn’t impressed. I just left it to you guys being under an immense pressure to fill the shoes of Bungie. However, Halo 5, I was just incredibly disappointed. I love the Multiplayer for those most part, but that was about it. I felt it was becoming more of a general video game.
I was having tons of issues, glitches, etc and when I went for help, no one would help. It just made me fed up.
Fast forward to Halo Wars 2. The game as a whole was nothing short of a masterpiece. You clearly listened to what the community was saying and took every word to heart. I think we can all already see that this is the case for Halo Infinite as well, and as you can tell, we are all super pumped. From the very little we’ve seen and heard, we already know this game is going to be the Halo we have been waiting for, the Halo we have been dreaming about for so long.
I have never been so excited for a game before, seriously. I cannot wait for the release of Infinite.
I have a single request though. PLEASE, do not follow what all the other people are doing. Please do not release this game until it is stable and complete! I don’t care if you have to push the release back MONTHS. Just release a finished, well polished game!
Thanks for showing you truly are listening and are working hard to give the community what it desires.
I think I speak for most of us here when I say we have a lot of confidence in you guys and see a lot of potential.
Yeah 343 is learning, I think it could become king of fps like doom is right now and I like doom. Bungee halo games were the kings of fps. COD doesn’t listen to their fans and it’s still failing. only worrying is the microtransactions which disappointed halo 5 and wars 2. MCC got fixed and brought back LAN parties. They mostly need to remove sprint and advanced mechanics like Spartan charge and other things.

It’s like where Microsoft nearly ended after reveal he Xbox one after it’s disaster e3 2013, reveal and launch and many Xbox fans moved to ps4, but now Xbox is getting better again and learned their mistakes, Xbox one X is winning the console war right now.

yeah for them to go back to mcc and fix most things it shows they care man.
I’d say if it’s one thing they need to improvee most and that I’d personally thank them for the most is if theey forget trying to chase trends (like CoD styles in H4 multiplayer) and redefine FPS with the new Halo. It takes a lot to do that, a lot of hard work and creativity to say the least, but I would be so grateful.
Either way, just really thankful they’re listening to us, taking their time, and putting in the needed effort.

I couldn’t agree more. Stable servers, complete game modes, finished campaign, Forge/customs at launch, bugs ironed mostly out. If they need another year, so be it.
So refreshing to see a positive post about 343. People seem to forget that these developers are made up of people, all of which (at least I hope all) are massive fans of the franchise. They aren’t perfect, but they try very hard and succeed most of the time. MCC is getting some serious TLC, H5 is one of the best multiplayer games I’ve ever seen even if I’m not a big fan of all the enhanced mobility, the extended lore is some of the best content I’ve ever read of any franchise, and Infinite is showing some real promise. I’m so excited to see where Halo is headed!
Before it can redefine the FPS again, Halo needs to play catch-up first. I think it should start with killing off Sprint. I commend games like Counter-Strike and Overwatch, for not committing to a sprint ability. But don’t become a hero shooter like Overwatch.
Keep the equal starts, that’s where they already reverted to going from H4 to H5 (thank god). That was a bulletproof choice in game design. Now I hope they see No Sprint is one as well.
It’s nice that they’ve thrown these little bones to the community recently, but in order for me to fully appreciate them, they’d have to genuinely impress me. And by that i mean all baseline features for a Halo game available at launch, gameplay that will keep me wanting to replay it long after release and a decent campaign that doesn’t treat me like an idiot.
There are still some red flags though - e.g. MTX being confirmed apart of the game and the fact that they drove themselves into a deep, deep corner with Halo 5’s campaign. I have no idea how they plan to rectify this, if at all.
They have an opportunity and potential to make possibly the best game out of the entire franchise, both in campaign, and multiplayer. However, they could screw it up monumentally. As such, I remain cautious optimistic about Infinite.

You could say this about the three games they’ve put out already.

That’s the difference new leadership can do. Ever since Phil and Chris have taken charge, Halo has slowly been getting better. Very excited for H6 as well but don’t set your expectations too high, that’s a good way to be disappointed no matter what happens usually. Be realistic about it.

Expanded lore ruined halo 5’s story, it was like 343 giving us homework if we want to understand halo 5’s story, those things should had been in the game. I agree that H6 could be awesome

I had the same issue with H5, but don’t necessarily think it ruined the story so much as made it less understandable for casual fans. I’m more or less saying that the extended lore has been incredibly well done, regardless of how the games are doing. I think H3 did it best with the terminals. You could just play the game and have a good story, but for lore fans you could also hunt for little kernels of extended universe material that weren’t essential to understanding the story. Hopefully terminals will return in H6 so that the story can be simple, but have more extended lore to find out about if you want to look for it.
