I got a rush I’m my heart when I started to read the feedback blog! Higher strafe acceleration! Higher base speed! SPNKr as a legendary weapon! SA and Sprint toggle able! Wow, you have really proved yourselves to be different from other developers, and you listen to your fans!
I haven’t been this happy in s long time.
However, I still think you guys can go further with it, like:
-increase player health and shields/ increase kill times
-Anything been done about bullet magnetism?
-remove the headshot bonus from autos entirely (it’s very inconsistent)
-(personal idea) expand upon melees, maybe add another melee type or a combo
As if they weren’t going to do this stuff from the start. People wanted toggleable sprint in H4. If they left that out, then they would have had fewer sales. Same with a lot of things. They really didn’t do anything special. Other than leave in all the crap that people don’t want and then skew their numbers to make it seem like people actually wanted them.

This post is approaching conspiracy theorists levels of disingenuous. What evidence is there that they skewed the numbers aside from your own personal biases?
And they did precisely what the community asked for.
The blog post addressed everything that I immediate saw wrong with the beta, strafe speed, no SPANKr, and the DMR’s scope, to name some. But I will agree with OP, bullet magnetism should be replaced with Aim Assist, and I wouldn’t mind if head shots on non precisions Followed suit.
Most of the community seems impossible to please, no matter what 343i does to compromise all they get is a nice backlash for not giving into your radical dreams of a Halo 3-esque Halo 5.

That is the thing, if 343 doesn’t completely bend to the will of certain people in the community, they obviously hate Halo and care only about money. You can’t reason with that logic.

Its just lip service, they made MCC sound awesome as well. 343 is the king of lip service, they know what u want to hear, and tell u exactly that. MCC still (3 months in) has 1 ranked playlist that DOES NOT WORK. It resets your rank every so often just for fun. 343 has much more to do then just tell me, they need to show me. Any fool who believes that post should have there Mahoney taken from them

So are you saying you dislike the changes in the blog? If you ask me, they started straying off the Halo path with 4, then took one step forward and two steps back with 5. But those two steps have been turned around with these changes. Now we need to go further. The main problem was that Halo 5 was leaning too much towards modern game mechanics and leaving its original. A good transition would be keeping, tweaking, and adding small additions to your gameplay mechanics, then adding the big stuff that doesn’t impact on your mechanics much, like equipment or interactive map elements.(which I loved in Halo 2A and would like to see in 5) The addition of a single legendary weapon on map is a great example of an excellent addition to Halo.

I like the new change to sprint and base speed I really hope your base speed can keep up with someone who hits sprint for an extended period. I like they are removing head shot from autos should always be number of bullets to hit not faster if landing shots in certain areas. Thus brings grenades and melee back into ar fights.
I still don’t agree with your rank system 343i. It is team slayer and not everyone plays this game with 3 buddies. If the team wins they get their bonus but if your team lose I don’t see why the players who get the majority of the kills cannot get a positive performance. Solo players need the rank system to work in their favour as well. A small bonous of 10 should be given to anyone who gets more then 15 kills and are stuck on the losing team. It isn’t much but for a solo player if they are decent yet lose at least they will go up in level to get matched with others around their skill. Your system just keeps solo players sifting through the trash. You may win because you get the better players or you lose because you get landed with a team of duds and you may get a score of 20 on that losing team and the closest team mate has 5 and you get a -40 to rank. Slayer rank needs win/lose and personal performance like I said there is nothing wrong with getting minor positive increase to rank if you lose. If you are consistently making 15 kills a game but losing you’ll still have a shot of eventually getting to a level that has people averaging those kills a game.
Win/lose system for objective based games, win/lose + individual skill for slayer.

343 has been working extremely hard to fix the issues with MCC. They are diligently working on figuring out a way to please the fans that feel they have been taken advantage of, they are also working on ways to restore player population. People keep saying that 343 doesn’t listen to there fans this proves they are at least taking the time to take Input into account and with the game little less then a year out, why would they not be able make these changes.
