After reading all the disgusting hating, bagging, and dislike about Halo 4, I have decided to tell 343 thank you. As a veteran Halo fan, playing all the Halo games, from 1 to 3, to ODST, to Reach, even Halo Wars, and reading all the books. In my opinion, Halo 4 is my favorite. Don’t get me wrong, each of the Halo’s have a place in my heart, and Bungie has done a great job, but this has to be the best baton pass in the history of the video game industry, but I digress. I love this game on every spectrum, of course the game isn’t perfect, and not a single game will be. But to say the least…it works, and it is Halo. I commend 343 for being as bold as they were, I had faith since the minute Bungie announced that they sold Halo, and my faith was rightfully placed. I won’t be able to change anyone’s mind with this post, but it just bothers me that people ask for so much and trash something that doesn’t meet there perfect standards. I have personally taught myself to make due with what I have, and that is why I am so pleased with this game, and I won’t take it for granted all the time and effort 343 has put in the game. There may be some things in the game that might upset me like the Shotgun, I mean Boltshot, or the Active Camo Ability, but I will learn to deal with it. But the likes out weight the dislikes by miles, so…
Thank You 343, for this wonderful game, and please keep the story of Chief going, because I will be following you and him as a loyal fan of Halo.
I agree. I too am grateful and share all of your thanks towards 343. I am very pleased with Halo 4 and found the character development to be incredible compared to what we’ve seen so far in the franchise.
Now just please… don’t let ONI label Halsey as this war criminal and that won’t change!

Honestly if we all just rush out and sell our H4s because we’re unhappy, how can they ever manage to make us happy if we are not around to experience the fixes and patches?
I’ll keep Halo 4 just as i kept my original Halo CE from 2001.

Op, i would really like to read why exactly you think halo 4 is the best halo?
Ive been playing halo since november of 2001. I could entertain an argument for halo 4 against reach, but CE, 2, or 3? Im just fascinated as to how anyone could consider halo 4 better than any of those games.
Do you like AAs, sprint, no weapons or PUs on maps, instant respawns, kill cams, melee fests, worst group of maps in halo history, lack of TSR system, score based system rather than kill based, horribly balanced weapons, cheap armor unlocks as only incentive to keep playing, lag lag lag, uncustomizeable custom games, terrible playlists, regressed forge, and a fileshare system that doesent even work? All of that is actually ok with you?
I agree, I’ve also played every Halo from it’s release day and I just love halo 4. The Campaign was amazing, although I don’t think I will play it as much as I have played Halo 2’s Campaign, Spartan Ops will definitely make up for that. Spartan Ops is just awesome, it’s getting better every week and has a huge potential. I really expect missions with huge battles with pelicans or maybe even spacebattles with broadswords.
Of course there are a few thing which I don’t like, mostly in multiplayer. But that’s maybe 0,001% of the whole experience. And I’ve never really been a multiplayer guy anyway, it only really started with Halo: Reach (of course I played the others as well, but not really serious). I still love it!
The only sad part is waiting another few years for Halo 5 now! But the Spartan Ops story looks really great, I can not wait for the next episodes and maybe even more seasons.

Missed point, Ranked and Social playlists with visible True Skill would be the icing on the cake.
Sprint seems like a natural progression, the rest of the AA’s could have remained as Power Ups for all I care- everyone spawning with AA’s seems to ‘muddy the waters’ so to speak.
I actually like a lot of the changes 343 brought in. The glitches in maps and what not will be fixed with patches. I enjoyed the campaign quite a bit. I wish the Spartan Ops did a better job with telling the story, but if it was perfect there’d still be someone like me complaining about something we didn’t like.

I as well think that Halo 4 is as great as other Halo’s, especially Halo 3, because it was my least favourite, so it’s an amazing sequel!
And you know that many people don’t even care about multiplayer? It’s just an extra, the story is the game… For me, I do not like some AA’s like Active Camouflage which should have been a personal ordnance in my eyes. But I do like the change from the other games. I would be bored very fast if this multiplayer was just almost the same as the old ones. That’s why I love Halo: Reach’s multiplayer as well, because it changed enough.
You’re also one of those guys who just look at every detail of the game and thinks it ruins the whole experience. I also don’t want instant respawns, kill cams, score based system, amour and weapon skins, etc… But I won’t let those things ruin it for me. Instead I look at the great things this game has to offer.

No matter who you are, it’s impossible to please everyone. Look at all the folks around here complaining and saying that prior Halo games were the best. Now let’s rewind to when Bungie launched them and many of those folks were complaining that Bungie is teh suck and can’t make games and ruined Halo, and then with Reach people saying they couldn’t wait for 343 to take over.
You can never please the internet. They should just do, as they’ve done, what they feel is best.
