Just played an incredibly fun match and felt like I should put some positivity in the forums. Despite a few hiccups with the balance of this game, I love what 343 and CA have done with it. I’m so happy it was even made in general! I had been dying for it to happen for a solid 3-4 years. They delivered a gorgeous, fun, addictive, unique RTS. I’ve already played it for over 16 days which is unbelievable. That’s more than I ever could’ve asked for
I can’t wait for the rest of the leaders, a new balance update, and a Flood campaign! By the time it’s all out, that is a LOT of content and hard work.
We’re going to have the best and most balanced version of Halo Wars ever very soon and that’s pretty awesome. Hopefully season 3 is great and we can enjoy the game for some time to come. Cheers guys! You do realise the ones criticising it and asking for fixes and balance tweaks and such still like/love the game as well, or else they wouldn’t bother going on the forums pointing out what’s wrong and what needs attention. The devs know people like the game, or else the forums wouldn’t be fillled with the suggestions from above to improve the game.
Of course, there generally just isn’t any positivity to it is all haha. Just constant complaining. Why not spread some love

Although I agree with you its the way they do it. A lot of their language has an aggressive tone to it and is far from constructive. If you don’t believe me look further up the thread. It’s stuff like that that’s the reason why 343 won’t tell us about releases and because most people went bat ape -Yoink- over Colony. No one can deny the game has issues but so do most RTS’s when released. I think the combination of a lack of communication and the community expecting too much has caused an issue. My hope is that both these things can be resolved and we can enjoy the game.

We get impatient, that’s life. It’s the anticipation the game we all love is about to get better, but we want it now now now constantly.
Obviously that’s not possible but people need to chill out having a moan at other players who are growing impatient. We just want 343 to fix the game we all paid for!
You buy a game thinking it’s done and ready, but when it’s bugged to hell like this game has been, we have a reason to be impatient and angry why things take so long.
I’m ready to fall back in love with this game, hit me with those notes!!!

Tell me about it. I played HW1 to death and convinced all my friends to pre-order this so they would play with me. Now they don’t listen to my opinion when discussing upcoming games…

I can’t wait to imagine how all the match ups will work out. HW2 is shaping up to be a super sequel.

You also do know that showing appreciation and not being so critical all the time is a good quality to have. Meaning, if someone didn’t like things about you and all they did was tell you all the time the things they didn’t like about you or things they want changed - would you truly be happy? The answer is most likely no as living in a world of nothing but negativity is not fun. I know I don’t like it, but there probably are those who do - insert phrase “different strokes for different folks”.
I will say that I know true leaders will not just discuss the bad or be overly critical all the time. They tend to also show positivity for the good things to help build people up. So what you are saying is most likely correct that the devs do like to know what is wrong, but they probably also like being thanked and told something is awesome to not just break their spirits.
My .02 cents anyway.
I thoroughly enjoyed this game and I know I would if I still played it, however I’m waiting until all DLC is released so I can get all the achievements and not expect more to be added lol plus a more balanced experience.

Art is fluid and can adapt.
And if they stop updating the game and say, “it’s finished” we also will be finished with the game.
