Thank you 343!

Firefight is awesome.
New bosses are amazing. Love the randomness. Great release overall. 343 you nailed it. Don’t listen to the haters.

Except it should have been in the game 7 MONTHS ago. 343 doesn’t deserve applause for delivering something late.

Honestly, whether it should have been 7 months ago or not, it’s here and they didn’t have to do it.
I am hoping this won’t happen in Halo 6 but they have continued to support the game and it seems they are going to keep doing it after this update so for now I’m okay with it.

I enjoy it. I appreciate the work Thank you 343

Very awesome game mode
I don’t care if we win or lose…we have tons of fun with WFF, now Halo 5 is actually enjoyable again

I can’t stand all these people who blindly praise 343 for something that should have been in the game at release. If you people can’t start to constructively criticize 343, halo will surely fall even further…

Once again, 343 Didn’t have to put in any of these updates, but they did. It shouldn’t matter when they put it in.

I agree

It’s a good game, just not a great one.

Microtransactions with free updates really really kills it though.

Honestly 343 you did an amazingjob on everything in Halo 5 but Halo 4 was honestly my least favorite game in the franchise. (but like I said, I loved the modifications in Halo MCC and Halo 5…)

Overall I thoroughly enjoy Firefight and it is fun but some aspects of it are very difficult and frustrating.

They didn’t have to? lol… It wouldn’t be a full game without it and it would lack content. They had to put it in eventually.Irregardless they should have been here at launch bungie launched Reach with Multiplayer, campaign, firefight, and forge all ready from the get go. Why couldn’t 343?

This is simply explained by the fact that 343 wants to be like all the other game companies now. Sell you an unfinished game in hopes that you’ll spend money to hopefully find the depth you expect from launch. Then when the population starts to dwindle release free content to get people coming back. It’s an evil practice I tell you, and quite frankly it’s unfair to the gamer population that we are forced to pay full price and then some for unfinished games.

How? Getting RP is so -Yoinking!- easy, you literally have no reason to spend real life $ to get them. Also, they are totally optional.

And this should have been in the game 4 years ago.

It kills it because it’s devolved to the point of revolving around the RNG and being a mobile app microtransactor.

The free updates just compound it. Upon launch, I knew what I wanted to get in this game. But it took me a few days (note, actual days of playing, not just a few days playing for an hour or two) of playing to obtain one of the variants of the armor set I liked - and it wasn’t even the variant I wanted. I didn’t even get half the weapons I wanted, because at some point along the line I quit playing the game.

Since that point (and also during), they just kept releasing garbage REQs/armors/emblems, upon garbage REQs/armors/emblems which because of the random number generated packs, makes it harder and harder to obtain what I want, given that I only had the time to play for a few hours a week.

It isn’t about whether REQ points are easy to get or not - it’s about the REQs you want being obtainable, which is all random chance. You can take the shortcut way and buy to freedom (no thank you, none of this content has warranted my money), or just keep grinding. Neither are good options.

Remember in Reach, how the “inclement weather” armor effect was the rarest and most costly thing in the game? That’s what made Reach’s system so good - if that’s exactly what you wanted, you knew how much it cost and how to attain it. There wasn’t some random chance associated with it, where you had to leaf through eons of sewage to get to what you wanted.

I can’t stand all these people who blindly hate 343 for something being added late.If you people can’t start to realize you sound like spoiled brats and realize that it’s just a video game then the gaming industry will surely fall even further…

I hope the wasp appears in future Halo’s,it’s now my favourite vehicle.

They didn’t have to do it, yes, but that doesn’t excuse it.

Agreed.
