I am so VERY HAPPY that you guys are re-working the rank system.
I hope/assume this re-work will address smurfing and have a suggestion for a solution:
If a platinum 1 player joins a fireteam with diamond 6 player, both players get “weighted” as diamond 6.
Also I like the loss prevention for quitter and disconnects, but this is being abused too. Maybe quitters get a huge penalty (like a 30minutes lockout from ranked) Players that join the match with someone who quits should not get the loss prevention, to prevent is being abused to boost a particular account.

The only thing that kinda sucks about this new Ranked update coming up is, EVERYBODY is getting their Rank reset. Does that mean we all have to go through the placement matches again?

Nothing personal, but it’s funny how blind players are today.
343 is literally playing the player base and they are following Bungie’s footsteps. Any changes that happened in infinite that shouldn’t have happened was literally planned so they could condition players to play the game how they want them to. They deliberately sabotaged the game being fully aware that the community would complain. All they need to do now is throw a bone here and there and you will comply.
Bungie pulled this with D2 so they could manipulate the system to how they wanted it to be and they won. The entire player base is playing a game how they want them to play the game.
There is nothing to thank this company for especially with all the manipulation going on right now.
I don’t see how that makes me blind because I thanked them for looking in to an issue that I’ve been requesting they look in to….
No one’s perfect, I accept 343 to fall in the same category.
I like what they’re doing with Infinite and think the re-work of the rank system is another step in the right direction.
I appreciate that other issues like desync will take longer to fix…

This Rank System is something else. Could it be a coincidence that, the Reddit user(s) that exposed the Rank System MMR and CRS, and 343 now announcing they are adjusting the Rank System? There are some players complaining, and some have good reasons. As it turns out some low Rank players are actually REALLY good, but they are unable to Rank up as quick as they are able to. While the opposite, Players in Onyx that actually SHOULDN’T be in that rank; they are lower skill level wise. Those players have hurt egos assuming 343 is claiming they may not be as good as the Onyx Rank. This rework and reset is actually good. Players will actually be placed where they should, and Grind from there. No more exploit, and good players being teamed with bad players will happen less.
