Thank you 343 for ruining warzone

I’ve been leading a company for over a year now and we freaking love being able to play with a full team of 12. Well, we did until you decided to appeal this game to 12 year old handicapped reach kids that can’t get a squad. Warzone isn’t 6v6 for a reason, so why cap the team size to six? But thank you for ruining the game for the real fans that have been waiting for larger scale battles. Thanks 343, I hope you all rot in the darkest depths of Hades and suffer long, painful deaths, Oh and take all these reach kids with you to your death. Sincerely, a Halo fan since DAY ONE

The 6-man Warzone fireteam limit is simply a temporary trial. It may (not) stay around for that long.

…and given the tone of your comment, I won’t be surprised this post gets locked up.

hope it doesn’t stick around, it doesn’t seem all that fair to me and that’s coming from a solo player.

Tell me how you really feel?

As a largely solo player (occasionally I’ll play with a friend or two), I like this idea - but I can see where you’re coming from. When you have large teams, it’s fun to roll in those “squads”, especially when you’re all communicating and destroying. If it sticks, then fine, if not oh well, I’ll just continue to avoid Warzone like I typically do.

But as I can see it from your POV, shouldn’t you be able to see it from mine? I’d like to play Warzone and have it accessible for me, without having to play against 12 member squads who are all in ghosts just destroying me. That’s really not fun. And yes, I could go get my own Spartan Company, but the ones that play consistently have stupid play or rank requirements that I don’t care about, or have people I don’t know in them. I’d rather just play with my actual real life friends like I have in literally every other Halo title in the past.

I’ve solo qued dozens, if not a hundred times. The game is enjoyable still with no squad if you know how to play. I do enjoy solo que, less stress on the win. Play casually, win barely. Why punish the community that actually interacts with each other and farms DAYS.AND.DAYS straight to appeal to those who aren’t willing to squad up. With the recent changes to XBL adding in clubs, it’s easier than ever to get a full squad. Why don’t you join us? Our only level requirement is 60 (I had that within the first week so it isn’t unreasonable) yet we have multiple players who reached champ 1. Just an idea, if you don’t have a squad.

Just for the historycal accuracy.
The deepest deep of Hades would be the"Tartaros"
So you know who you need to ask if you want people to sent there.

There is no reason to be discriminatory when making your point.

This.

OP claims to have been a Halo fan since day one, but speaks like someone who is younger than the franchise.

Yup that’s why I remember getting my copy of Halo 15 years ago. Good point.

Thanks for the correction, was attempting to keep post PG rated.

I think the emboldened text is why the community would be punished - farming really isn’t fun, period. It’s also the game mode 343 makes the most money on because of REQs, so they should want to appeal to the broad fanbase. I also don’t really want to be part of a squad where I don’t know anyone, and has some silly name that I don’t associate with usually having to do with Achillies armor that I don’t care about. I like playing with my real friends that I can really talk to/interact with. Maybe I’m behind in the times, but I don’t expect to get much more progressive being in the latter half of my 20s.

I don’t know man, just take a few breaths and woo-sah. If you’re a classic Halo fan, you should be used to running in teams of a max of 8, which (I think?) you can still do in BTB, so this shouldn’t be a huge culture shock to you from 1 year of 12 man squads vs. 14 years of 8 man squads. Also, if you’ve been a big fan of Halo for so long, yet you discriminate hard against Reach, that doesn’t show a ton of class. Just relax man.

343 did not do Halo right and warzone is pretty much a 12 year old’s dream all you do is shoot people nothing else and I am starting to hate what halo is becoming the new one is just a dull shooter nothing else.

The hell do you expect from a first-person shooter?

I think the better way to resolve the 12vrandoms problem is to put in a matchmaking system where 12 person fireteams go against other 12 man fireteams. and randoms go against randoms. It was done in reach, why not here?

Love your tag btw. IMO halo was the best when teamwork was the focus, primarily in matchmaking in h2 was the golden days. You had to communicate, you had to recruit smart. Dumbing down the largest playlist only encourages players to be lazy and apathetic about winning.

Well people think halo is a soloing game which its not back then you needed help or you would die I like when old halo did that. However the new one people just rush in hoping to get a bunch of kills when they die and get mad at it and it is 343’s fault.

Thanks for the thoughtful input! I agree completely. They added matchmaking search preferences a few months ago. The focused mode should have matched similar sized teams.

You never said you were not farming, and I am rather sure you were which is exactly why they lowered the 12 man team limit to 6
