This month’s community update made 0 mention of anything to do with the MCC. The February update at least said to look out for a blog post in the coming weeks, but it really should’ve said in the coming months. At the start of season 8 343 kept spouting that the end of the seasonal model will allow them to release smaller updates at a faster pace, but it’s been anything but. Since the new year communication and transparency has gone out the window for anything to do with the MCC.
All I ask is to set the expectation of when we can learn more. If the MCC blog update has been delayed please let us know, if not this month than next month. I love the MCC and seeing a patch list for this game reignites my passion for Halo that Infinite could never.

Fully agree buddy, there’s no transparency at all. Tomorrow is April 1st, and still nothing on this Update at all.
If nothing comes out in April I can assume we’re not getting anything until June since the focus of May will be Season 2 in Infinite.
Smaller quicker faster updates what happened 343?

They’re putting allot of attention in halo infinite at the moment.
When halo 5 flopped 343I went straight back to MCC.
With the way Infinite is going im definitely sure they’ll return their attention to the MCC.
That’s my assumption. Halo Infinite over the course of the next year or so will eventually flop so hard, that it’d be better to just bail and move on to another project. Honestly imo, Infinite NEVER should have released, 343 should have stuck to updating MCC, namely because they were actually good at doing it in a fairly timely manner.
I still think 343 fully plans on using MCC as a safety net once they are ready to deem Infinite a lost cause. However the big question is: Will the same trick work twice with the community? For me personally, yes, because MCC, especially with all the new content unique to MCC, is an enjoyable Halo experience.

343 works with partner teams to maintain the MCC. Even in the current matchmaking outage the support account said that their partner teams are investigating the issue. Unless the same Saber Interactive folks are also working on Infinite which is possible, I’m gonna wager there isn’t much overlap. I don’t think it’s accurate to say Infinite is draining the MCC of resources when the people who work on each title are separate teams.

With so much going on for Infinite all time and energy is probably going into it… They say they are separate teams working on the game but that is probably at the “work” level. The higher ups who ultimately have to get it done and sign it off are probably concentrating on Infinite and put MCC on the back burner. Sadly I don’t even see MCC on the most played games any more. So they are probably like the player count is low so we don’t need to prioritize MCC in any way. Hopefully we get that flood fire fight and the other games added to custom game browser but not holding my breath.
Infinite had potential and a great hype it could of been a real comback. 343I just made some bad decisions and absolutely torpedoed themselfs
