All halo 4 armour has an undersuit with a part the same colour as your armor.

I think that black under suits look better than colored under suits… I guess I think that because 1) wearing black makes you look like a boss, and 2) too much color can be a bad thing.

Well Masterchief’s is all black. You can also pick all black undersuits on the customization pallet in Halo 4.
Don’t know what you’ve been doing but you most certainly cannot change your undersuits colour without changing armor colour

the undersuit is better black. Master Chief has it, Sarah Palmer has it…
I think it’s widely agreed upon that the coloured undersuit looks like gak. I don’t understand why 343i hasn’t understood this yet and insists on giving us coloured undersuits. Hopefully this is one thing that they see and change for Halo 5.

They actually look much better.
That looks much better. But I can’t help but notice they’ve changed the colours of the lights on some of the armour, venator in particular.

Black undersuit is better, but I do like the Little colored lines on the Black undersuit.

i agree it should be customizable for the people that want it, but i also think the black undersuit looks best and makes the halo 4 armor much better.
While I don’t have an objective way of saying it looks better black, it definitely looks more ‘Spartan-like’ in a traditional sense. It is consistent throughout the series that Spartans wear colored armor, and always underneath, a black bodysuit. We’ve grown accustomed to it being that way for the duration.
Even during Halo 4 it was quite common.
