Terrible WZFF Teams

Now aside from firefight players being terrible, another reason they’re useless is because they don’t use REQs. Either because they don’t have enough or are ‘REQxious’ (a conjunction of REQ and anxious - obviously lol)

It is incredibly frustrating to be on the last round and see that only one or two players are spawning tanks/wraith ultras/phaetons. Immediately, I know we’ve lost. Recently, I’ve been playing this mode a lot more to finish the commendation (two games away!) and so this trend is quite evident.

This has been said a lot, but needs to be reiterated so that 343 knows the problem persists.

A PVE game-mode cannot be dependent on players having a lot of REQs! It should take player skill and team coordination. Making REQs a requirement for victory is evidence of yet another ploy by Microsoft (probably) for players to buy more REQ packs.

While it is very frustrating, I try not to blame people for not having reqs if they’re new. It’s not their fault

Well theres this also. But i find it unfair if out of the 8 players in the lobby, only 2-3 are decent, uses reqs and are able to do takedowns while the remaining 5-6 players dont know what they are doing. Then when the carnage report pops up i see players of SR50 and below. I understand new players or normal players are playing the game mode but if im continuously paired with newbies i cant win -yoink-.
Eg when taking out the 2 pheatons on apex. Im the ONLY one who bothered to spawn rockets while the others are either dying or shooting with their loadout weapons

I agree with the OP and i agree with you too, a lot of the time new players don’t have all the good REQ’s, let alone a lot of REQ’s. I see where the OP is coming from though, i mean there’s no point in shooting a Mythic Warden with a BR lmao

This always happens to me on Darkstar! Except that there’s 4 Pheatons

I not too terrible in firefight IMO; but my only problem with REQs other than the quantities I have of them, is my internet. I know from experience, it’s sometimes my luck that I will spawn in with a Scorpion/Wraith/some other vehicle or even power weapons to help my teammates out, but then my internet butts in and says “Whoopsy, time for me to loose connection on you whilst ticking you off/make you realize you wasted a REQ or two(or how many REQs I’ve used up onto that point if any)”. So for me, I’ve got to be really cautious with them, because a good REQ is a well used one, and a bad one is an unused one via death by AI/connection lose.

I’m a -Yoinking!- Clepto when it comes to video games so I barely use reqs unless I absolutely have too. I haven’t really had to many issues with that, manliy because at least 2 people get heavy vechiles ready to fight the mythic bosses.

one reason why people shy away from using reqs in Warzone firefight is because of the insane difficulty and how ridiculously fast the ai can kill you even if it’s something like crawlers or grunts, even in a tank. And trust me, nothing is more horrible then spawning a req like a banshee and dying almost instantly beacause the ai does insane amounts of damage and has just as good of an aim as deadshot.

The past few FF games I’ve played with randoms I’ve won and theyve been good teammates, guess I’m lucky. Must mean the next few times I’ll get stuck with horrible teammates and not get out of the 1st or 2nd round

I am guilty of not using the good REQs. The times I do are when I see others using them, then I know they will not be wasted. In the past I would use them all the time, but I would get frustrated that I was the only one. So now I am more cautious when I do!

I completely agree, I suppose my point in writing this was taking issue with the game-mode demanding that the majority of players have REQs in order to win. Until I completed my gold packs, I too was very stingy with using high-level REQs as I didn’t have a whole lot of them.

I’m probably one of those dudes you hate. I play WZFF just to mess around and relax. I wouldn’t say I hoard my reqs, but I’m a little thrifty with them. When playing WZFF I don’t care if we win or lose, I’m just having a good time. I always go for the high risk moves that will most likely get me killed just to see if I can pull it off. I like to think I pull my weight, but I don’t do as well as I could. Sorry, it’s just how I have the most fun with this game.

FF can be a hot mess. I’ve been on teams where everyone is in a vehicle by round 5, easy win. Then there are teams where no one uses REQs, and here I am using a Spartan Laser taking down ALL of the Banshees/Phaetons. While they’re still pew pewing at it with BRs. Other than playing with friends or teams, I would advise you to gauge how well your teammates are doing before using REQs. If you see a good number of them pulling their own weight, obviously contribute.

I used to just bring in a REQ every chance I got but now usually only bring one I when it’s needed. Depending on the map and objective I might not bring anything in until round 3 and still be in the top 3, others might need something round 1 and I just splatter enemies.
Another reason I wait is to see what the next round is. Don’t want to spawn in something that won’t help with the round.

I see your point, and I totally agree. Seems like WZFF is designed to maximize req consumption…
