I have no idea why, but Halo Infinite is running absolutely terrible on my PC, specifically in the campaign. On multiplayer, my frames are fine (average 130 fps on max settings). Im currently running an RTX 3080 and a 9900k with 32 GB of ram. I also installed Infinite on a 970 Evo NVME. For some reason, the campaign only runs at around 40-50 FPS on max settings. I dont get why, is anyone else having this issue?
Don’t think 343 care about PC players.
I recommend following this thread by @ItzTheDay. It works very well to help performance.

Worked good for you?
Yep, I mean I was at 170 ish before but now I’m at 240-250.
Nice. Not much different in visuals either, right?
Nope, game still looks like it running at 1440p.
I’m not understanding how people are suffering so badly. I started looking for peoples fps on here because I’m running a LAPTOP 3080, and come to find out I’m effortlessly smoking desktops without even over clocking my gear. What is the deal with that?
Oh yeah? Doubtful…
I found that if i set the frame limiter to 120 the game gets smooth. But if i have it uncapped and the game runs at 200-250 it stutters. G-sync and v-sync doesnt help. Only capping the game at 120 fps.
My pc is intel i9 12900k, 32gb g-skill trident z neo and a gigabyte rtx 3090 aorus master.
I’m rocking:
-Asus GeForce RTX 3090 TUF 24GB
-I9 12900K Intel Processor
-Team T-Force Delta RGB 32GB (2x16) 6400MHz DDR5 Ram (XMP I)
-Team Cardea A440 M.2 PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD 2TB
-Asus ROG Maximus Z690 Apex D5 Motherboard (Latest BIOS 1601)
-Corsair iCUE H170i Elite 420mm LCD Display liquid CPU cooler
-Asus ROG Thor Platinum Modular 1200W power supply
-Asus XG349C UWQHD 180Hz FreeSync HDR IPS Curved 34in Monitor (G-Sync compatible)
Windows 11
Can’t get stable performance at capped 85 FPS on only 3440x1440p resolution in ‘campaign’ (high settings). NVidia GeForce experience also recommends low and medium settings for the optimal settings. There’s a swamp area in the campaign where the FPS gets hit really hard.
The game is so poorly optimised it’s beyond comedy.
I’ve also found that having the FPS capped to your monitor refresh rate helps somewhat. But FPS drops still happen in the open world of the campaign.
