The XBOX One doesn’t support backwards compatibility, at all. Now the insulting lack of support for this game makes sense, things that should be added/tweaked in a fraction of the time they are taking now don’t shock me at all. They are just gonna let this game die and disappear into obscurity when the new system and game comes out, they don’t CARE and why should they?
They should just let this game die anyway. It’s a lost cause. 343 should put every single resource into a next gen Halo 5 and just forget about Halo 4.

I feel sorry for those new players who bought the Halo 4 console bundle. They’re not going to get the chance to enjoy it for more than a year. When Xbox One is released, Xbox 360 productions would probably be discontinuing in 4-6 months later.
I disagree on the point of Halo 4 receiving low post-launch support.
We still have a patch coming out this summer to fix the weapon balances. There’s still frequent playlist updates, and Forge maps are still being actively tested/introduced.
That being said, it’s a sad reminder that Halo 4 won’t be playable on the new console. Personally, I’ll have both so it won’t bother me that much. However, count on Microsoft having a new Halo title at launch. They know it would be bad business to not have a playable title of their biggest IP.

Halo 2 took 6 months, this game will take forever at this rate.

i think you forgot to get your mandatory memory wipe when halo 4 came out nobody is supposed to remember that bungie made mistakes “runs away yelling that bungie is perfect in every way and 343 made reach bad (even though they made it playable)”

No, the weapon tuning is coming out in June, thats like 7 months? Halo 2 prepatch was worse anyway, sorry I’m not following the Bungie master race, come up woth a more compelling argument
343i is continually working on and supporting this game week in and week out while also working on their next project.
Microsoft has specifically stated that they’re still going to support the Xbox 360 years past the release date of the Xbox One.
Your Xbox 360, games, and halo 4 are not going to suddenly stop working when the new Xbox One is released. Please do not post rumors, doomsday prophecies or conspiracy theories because it does nothing but cause problems.

Perhaps the Xbox 360 will live on, at least much longer than the original Xbox did after the release of the Xbox 360. Microsoft says it will keep selling the 360 and with the user base the Xbox 360 is a big enough incentive for developers to cross release titles to the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One. Keep in mind GTA V, CoD: Ghosts, and Destiny are all coming to the Xbox 360. Plus, people like me have built too much in Minecraft: Xbox Edition to give it all up in a move to the Xbox One.

Maybe. I don’t expect a Halo game for Xbox One until fall 2014. They seemed to focus on CoD: Ghosts as the big game that wil be there for the launch of the next gen. We’ll see what comes out at E3.
I knew this thread was coming sooner or later. This community is awful. It is in my opinion this is the worst gaming community of all time.
I’ll just put it this way. When you have people of this community complaining about things like the Jackels being right handed and how the friggin clouds look in Ragnarok, you know there is something seriously wrong.
It is unbelievable at how ungrateful, self entitled and just down right disgusting a lot of you guys are. It doesn’t matter if whatever Halo game was the greatest one ever made, you people would still find the smallest things and exaggerate them to no end into a bigger deal than they really are day in and day out on the forums.
It’s truly sad at how bad this community has gotten.
Now watch, because I spoke a little truth, I’m gonna get attacked, words from my post are going to highlighted so they can be taken out of context and I’ll be called a fanboy or whatever other term they can think of because I simply just like the game and I was stating my personal opinion.

Well I don’t think it’s fair to say the whole community, I’m a part of the story community, and it’s usually rather friendly and nice, now the competitive community is another story
Original xbox games IE Conker, Halo 2 etc were still supported on Xbox Live until early 2010, unless I’m mistaken, that’s about 4 or 5 years after the 360 launched, I see no reason why 360 games would get any less.

Unfortunately, their tired, immature rants makes the entire community look bad. It’s just like if one law enforcement officer does something bad, then everyone thinks all cops are bad. Same mentality applies here.
I for one am not one of those people who tries to find every little stupid thing to rant about. I like the game as I do all the Halo games. Ya, I know it’s crazy concept for those special gems out there reading this, but I LIKE ALL THE HALO GAMES. There isn’t one I dislike.
Unless halo 5 is shipping at the same time x1 launches, I think I am going to wait to see if everything is running smooth, don’t want any rrods or xbl snafus
