I don’t know why but in H2 I get terrible lag, I know for a fact that I shouldn’t be running 24-36 FPS. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a fix?

What’s your PC hardware like? Is the lag that you are getting in H2 classic or anniversary? Are other games in MCC equally as laggy?
I get avg 60+ but it will drop down to 20- at very constant and annoying intervals
Being the beast that my PC is, my frames never drop below 80. It usually runs at about 150 or 160. but sometimes it does decide to drop to 80 or so at the beginning of the game, but it has never had an impact on my gameplay. I hope that whatever is wrong gets fixed.

Pretty decent, I can run most games on high or ultra without any issues.

Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. Another thing to consider is that the MCC does not take advantage of multiple GPU’s, so if you are running SLI, the second will not be efficiently used. That’s weird that other games you have run fine, but the MCC has performance issues.

I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 and my CPU is an Intel(R) Core™ i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz. I had just checked my drivers, and they’re up to date. It’s only when I switch to Anniversary is when I get the large FPS drops. In classic, I’m getting 300+ FPS.
Try lowering your resolution.

Sounds like your GPU is the reason here. The anniversary graphics can be difficult to run, especially at higher resolutions. The anniversary H2 engine is quite modern and demanding.

Try nick’s solution with lowering your resolution if you can. Definitely try to keep it at 1080p with that GPU. Change your graphics preset also, make sure you are not running enhanced quality when playing in Anniversary graphics. The only other solution here I could recommend is a GPU upgrade. A 2060 or 2070 could get the job done. A cheap 1080 would be another option.

I had to disable all my overlays from Discord, SteelSeries, Steam, anything that tries to record your game etc.
I promise you it will fix your issue I was lagging so bad with a pretty solid gaming pc running a 3080 GPU.
Once I disabled all my overlays its was running PERFECT.

I was having such trouble with it, went through all the steps and couldn’t figure it out. Figured I’d go ahead and close the Xbox app and my Razer apps, and that did it! Thanks mate!
