Has anyone else noticed the games have had excessively terrible connections of late?
Yes!!! Never play Grifball without a team or you’ll lose due to bad connection…
thought it was just me. I guess with low population it can’t select players with the best connection time to you anymore and just goes with whoever is found. Seems worse than ever.
I’m seeing the black screen with teams etc on quite a lot per game. But I thought it was just my connection. It’s a bigger issue then?

Yes, it’s a well known issue. Wether it be people purposely lagging the game, or just crappy host selection, It’s annoying. My team will be in the lead, then I go black screened, next you thing you know, the game ended and my team lost?!? It makes no sense.
I’ve not really experienced bad lag in months which is surprising. I seem to be getting a lot less lag than I ever had on any game and when it does lag (for myself) its usually my connection.

I hardly play Halo anymore but when I do I don’t notice much lag.

Ha I wish. I’ve maybe got host twice in my entire Halo career. That said I probably have a much better connection than half the hosts picked in Halo 4 (which is really saying something). A 130 pulling host? Don’t think I’ve ever seen that outside of lobbies full of 130s. Such a stupid host selection system.
I do think it is a bigger issue. Let’s say my team will be winning, sunddenly I go black screen and kicked out to the lobby, several times, same with my teamates. This leads me to think that a lot more (sore losers) players are lagging people out of the game so that they can win.
Don’t worry Xbox one will have over 300,000 dedicated servers!!!
No more lag issues in our gaming future!!!
