Do any of you experience hairpulling-ly terrible autocorrect on these forums?
When I am on my PC everything is all good. But on my Android 6.0.1 it absolutely sucks. I spend almost a third my time just correcting the mistakes generated by the Autocorrect. I do not experience this when using text in any other form or application on my Android.
Thoughts?
Uhh, the site doesn’t auto-correct, your phone does. I almost exclusively use Waypoint on my phone and I’ve never once had ANY site, let alone Waypoint, have a built in auto-correct feature.

That’s where I am confused. I would have thought the same, but at no other time does my phone autocorrect according to the same parameters. It is quite different than other apps. But maybe it is due to settings within my Internet app? I’ll check that out.

Who knows? I personally use a Galaxy S5 on Chrome for all my browsing and have never had any issue.

Interesting. Ya I used the same and it worked fine. It’s awful on the regular Internet app for the s7 though. Maybe it’s something going on with Internet app autocorrect.
Actually the text editor on Waypoint is a (very nicely) custom skinned version of TinyMCE which has a spellcheck plugin. Looks like it has been activated here - it’s set to true on the posting editor but not on any of the other input areas that I have seen. You could turn it off yourself using something like Greasemonkey / Tapermonkey for Firefox or Chrome, but on mobiles there won’t really be a way to do that.
I’ll pop this down in the Waypoint support forums as the dev team sometimes prod there. Perhaps we could get a profile setting to enable or disable spellchecking
