Terminus - My Breaking Point

so me and a close bud play terminus pretty much only. We have gotten to 100 in 2vE on normal and heroic. We are shooting for legendary now. Best we’ve done is 83. Last night we got to 63 ugh.

My question is this. How the hell do you fight the vulture wave? It completely wrecks us and I can’t see how anyone can survive no matter what you do.

My my partner has NOTHING but reavers and healers (as Pavium). I play as Johnson. Only 12 kodiaks and 22 wolverines. Still those wolverines get wasted. Even when at level 3.

So so if my partner has all reavers and I have 22 wolverines and it still doesn’t work…wtf?

Last night we had like 5 waves in a row…heavy air, direct air, heavy air, direct air, heavy air. Something like that anyhow. It was absolutely impossible.

Is there a way to come out on top with this type of mix hitting you?

Yap Yap’s heavy grunts are green vs air and Infantry is naturally good vs air, so you could try that out.
But your always gonna need some luck to win.
And if your using Pavium that might not be the best idea anymore because of all the nerfs they’ve done to him

Shipmaster with Mass Banshees mixed with Shrouds is the best way for Antiair/Ground.

Can Shrouds cloak the terminus? if, so that could help out.
I heard once that Nightingales can cloak the terminus from attack with their smoke screen, never tested it though.

Shrouds cant Cloak the Terminus. Your Teammate must Cloak the Terminus with UNSC.

Damn. Tried shipmaster. That definetely didn’t work. Air ripped my banshees.

Deci Mass Blisters.
Better than Banshees

Ahh ok. I’ll give it a try. I fee like the last update nerfed my anti air. Made air easier to blow through and get to the terminus. I’ll try banshees.

Many reason it has to be Decimus? Are his banshees better than anyone else’s or something?

Decimus has a siphon passive that makes it where any damage you deal out you get back in health. So if you have max dps then you’ll be healed at an incredible rate.

I can show you the way of countering voltures. If you’re interested, please add me for some games.

Arbiter banshees are better

From my experience,
this combination actually works really well in TF.
Pop a few shrouds to counter the heavy air waves and you win.

Taking advantage of the air/ground modes really helps.

Not speaking from personal experience, I’d say just upgrade your turrets to anti-air and use an anti-air army. The one Terminus game I’ve played was alone as Jerome, and an excellent strategy is building siege turrets on your home base and training up to three Kodiaks next to the Terminus. Then you can focus other turret slots and some of your population on anti-air. This has probably been attempted, though.
