Hey folks I’m back!
So I have made similar posts to this in the past, but they seemed to never have caught much traction. In every build of Terminus FF that we’ve seen, including the most recent footage, it appears you are forced to play on red team and the AI is blue team. The same is true in the current game for Blitz FF and the VS AI playlist.
I would like to advocate for the option to choose our team color in FF, either the simple picking blue or red, OR since the game is cooperative, just let us choose directly from the 6 colors which we would like to be. Then the game would auto-assign the remaining 3 colors to the ai.
It troubles me that I only see gameplay from red team in FF, since in HW2 I like every blue team color more so than the reds, especially the green one when I’m playing as UNSC. If I’m going into an endless horde mode, it would be so nice to see my green tiger stripe units and help to better “role play” the scenario, as to me the red aesthetic really breaks the emersion of the game and distorts its realism.
tl;dr Terminus FF appears to only allow for you to play on red team. Are you OK with this, or is there a favorite blue team color you’d want to be playing as in an endless mode like FF?
I don’t know why they didn’t have color selection in the first place, or the ability to disable team colors so UNSC would be the default green.
I wish we could choose are color in any playlist. Really no reason why not?
I would like it if you were able to pick your color after you pick your leader in any game mode as long as someone else in the game wasn’t using it, maybe add a few more?
Red - Pink, Crimson
Blue - Purple, Turquoise (they might already have that)
Going to be honest, I’ve been red so long I forgot how it was to be Blue. I kinda of miss the diverse color wheel of the first Halo Wars 1. The colors in this game isn’t bad but man…

I’ve got agree with you there, I also miss the diverse colour options in Halo Wars 1. The only problem with colours for me in HW1 was that you couldn’t pick what one you wanted, say gold or silver which were extremely rare to fight against. That being said though, when there was a game with a silver player it was cherished for that required 6 players to have all picked either Covies or UNSC. (The gold/silver Scarab looked sweeet)
I wish 343 would allow us to choose our colours, or at least have some more options for it gets rather bland always facing the same colour.

Yeah I also missed the Yellow vs Blue option HW1 had. It’s sad because this game has some nice skins and colors but I get so tired of being Red and orange.
Yeah, even in teams I get confused if that greeny-blue colour is red team or blue. Always have to look twice.
In Blitz Firefight some of the AI are either Black or White. I think they should use those colors for Firefight and then give us the option to choose any of the 6 current.
On a side note, I would love to play as the black or white team as well. Have you guys seen how tight the white wraith and scorpion are? And then adding tiger stripes on top of that? Oh my.
I guess I lucked out. My favorite color in the game is red and getting red Banished is awesome since that’s their natural color.
But I can see why others want their own colors. I support this idea.
I’m honestly surprised more people don’t care about this. This is an ideal feature to be implemented to me. Does no one else agree?
Wasnt this not allowed due to memory issues on the server? I could of swore that was the reason those dlc skin changes were so limited.
I liked black team the best because you could barely see their bases on the mini-map so you usually ignore them. Also black units look cool. Bring back black team!

I’d love to have different colours to pick from, but if it hasn’t been implemented by now I’m not sure if they will be in any mode. It’s a really easy feature to implement.
Would be nice to actually be green UNSC and not red that’s for sure! Blue UNSC is pretty cool though because you look like police.

I liked being Cutter, the ODSTs were actually dark.
Roll call! To all those who liked/commented on this thread, there is gonna be a mixer stream tomorrow at 3PM PST (6PM EST) of Ske7ch and the devs playing Terminus FF. I most begrudgingly have an exam during this time! gasp and won’t be able to tune in. IF you would please do me the utmost of favors by tuning into the stream and commenting about how much we want this to be a feature, hopefully the devs will here us if multiple folks post it and will respond!

As i feared, after watching the stream, it looks like Firefight is once again Red Team only. That’s a huge bummer! Also y’all let me down. Looking at the chat history none of you brought up the question of colors to the chat.
