Terminals

If they have terminals in Halo Infinite the audio video or writing what ever one they decide to use needs to be on the game disc not every one has internet

I rather they be on the game disk, it’s strange to have to load up content form out of game. I noticed sometimes that also messes up combat, like I get shot 6 seconds before the clip ends. Either way, I want it in the disk.

They definitely have to be included and playable in the game i don’t know what they thought when they moved it to the Halo Channel e.g Halo MCC but that is just stupid to be honest why not just put it in the game like in all the other Halos so why not put it back into the game?
They could still put them on the Halo Channel seperatly for players who want to watch it there but i think it’s fair to say that the majority wants it in the game.

I think it needs to be in the game because in MCC, when it takes you to the Halo Channel, I have left the cutscene because of how long it took to load. If it takes more than 60 seconds to load the terminal, I don’t want to watch it anymore. I just want to get back into the game because it isn’t worth it to me when I can just watch it on youtube. If the terminal doesn’t start almost immediately, then I’m probably going to ignore them.

I hope there are terminals in Halo Infinite

Yeah I really hope the terminal cutscenes, videos, text are all within the game. In halo 4 every time I’d load up a terminal and it took me to Halo Channel just to watch a 2 minute video that takes 30+ seconds to boot up anyway, I would typically leave before even watching. Not because of lack of interest, but because it was just a pain to go out of your way to watch a brief lore clip. It would be best to just make it so that you don’t need to leave the game, wait for a video, watch it, back out of it and go back to the game. The extra hassle is off putting and it should just work as simply as it did in Halo 2/3

I hope so too. I know there’s probably a lot of effort involved in making a dozen or so terminals, but the end product has been amazing thus far. Compared to the H5 audio logs, the terminals of the previous games were incredible and added so much to the experience. The only game that honestly did audio logs right was ODST, but that game’s style of story telling really meshed well with it’s audio logs.

I only have interest in the Terminals , if they are giving us plot relevant info , or even world building to an extent , but no more wild goose chases please. I don’t need to know about a space craft that crashed on a Halo , never to find out anything else about it.
On the one hand most of the Terminals were great , whether that be as a Video clip , or as written text , they tended to give context ,or provide a greater illumination of certain plot points , on the other hand , you have the Alien craft that never amounted to any thing.

I would like to see video terminals again, the halo 5 audio logs were cool, especially the forerunner ones. But it’s not as appealing as the CEA and 4’s terminals. I also agree terminals should be loaded in game and not from an outside source. It’s inconvenient.

Agreed one-hundred percent. I’d also like to point out that the terminals need to be EXTRA story info, not vital story info as they were in Halo 4.

Yes I want the terminals to be on the game disk. It is pretty jarring to be sucked out of the game shoved into a separate app that then has to load. I prefer an experience that feels more immersive as opposed to what they did with the other terminals.

I just hope campaign achievements like the terminals and skulls of the past aren’t overly abundant. Those Halo 5 audio logs were such a pain to unlock.
