Terminals - viewed on Waypoint, not in-game

The reality is the Terminals were coming in too late for them to be on disc and viewable in-game. Using Waypoint as a mechanism for allowing players to watch them was the method we chose for distribution.

If you aren’t an Xbox LIVE user, get ready to be searching for the Terminals online.

So 343 were behind schedual with the terminals when the game went gold?

On one hand, thats pretty sloppy. On the other hand, rather than scratch the whole thing, they made them viewable on waypoint.

so we have to find a block thing in game, access it and then we get to watch it on waypoint… differant :S

Better than nothing I suppose. I just don’t find it that appealing as the waypoint app has a laggy buffer time, every now and again.

Is the waypoint app for the 360 only avalable to gold subscribers?
I thaught anyone could have it.

That’s what I’m worried about. It cuts away from the incentive to find them.

yepm waypoint only works for gold members on the 360…

oh well, ill still find them for the achievements

Local library, friend’s house, school… it’s unfortunate and inconvenient, but there are options.

What was the point of finding the Anniversary terminals? They can be seen online.

Whats the point of finding Halo 3’s terminals, you can watch/read them online.
Not much different at all. All terminals were able to be seen online. Its just that now, offline users can’t see it.

It is unfortunate that they didn’t make it into the game in time, but there are always last minute things. The terminals weren’t a priority.

I wonder how this will be handed… do we find a terminal in game, and it gives us a forerunner code to put in on Waypoint. Its more logical why they chose that if thats the case, since the Waypoint terminal thing will add a bit of mystery and fun to finding and accessing terminals. It would make it easier to manage hidden terminals, if everything was just stored on Waypoint.

It was free to silver members for like a week when it first came out sadly its not anymore :x but of course someone could spend like 30 dollars on being gold for a few months…
