Terminals 5 & 6 explain halo 4 enemy

A posting from a member of B.net illuminated something that I had completely missed:

Well…

Cortana mentions that Installation 04’s atmosphere is nearly identical to Earth’s (http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Installation_04) (http://www.halopedian.com/Installation_04).

So, it wouldn’t be a stretch to assume that if Halo’s atmosphere is identical to Earth’s, and if the unknown ship’s leaking atmosphere is identical to Installation 04’s atmosphere…then the unknown ship might very well be of Ancient Humanity origin.

Plus, 343 stated that Halo 4 will feature an “ancient enemy”. In Terminal 6, Guilty Spark says (regarding a cure for the Flood), “The Forerunners’ ancient enemy held and used that information once.”.

According to Halo lore, Ancient Humanity was the only one to find a “cure” for the Flood. AND Ancient Humanity was also engaged in a bitter war with the Forerunner.

I know there’s been plenty of terminal discussions/posts, but I haven’t come across a post linking these two or the atmosphere evidence.

Stuff about Halo: Cryptum Prophets also had found a cure for the Flood if you’ve read Cryptum, the Didact went to their home worlds in order to ask one for the answer but he had died before eh showed up. Personally I don’t think we’ll be fighting Humans or any of the ancient versions of what we’ve seen now because I doubt that they went outside of the galaxy and returned so soon.

People should use the spoiler tag more…

People like me due to RROD troubles haven’t been able to play Halo CEA and read the terminals yet…

It may be small but I don’t want anything to be spoiled for me, even if it is a simple line of new dialogue.

Example:

Here is how it is done.

Spoiler tag isn’t hard.

All you have to do is type the brackets like so:

[/]

With the word spoiler in each, only spoiler comes after the backslash in the second set of brackets.

I really, really hope this is true. First Humanity would be a great new faction, both in terms of storyline and what they could add to Halo gameplay.

I personally want the enemy to be alien and weird, not human. Plus, the enemy that was shown in the concept art was far from human. And how would humanity be “both there and not there” as stated in Halo: Glasslands? The only true possibility I see as the AE are the Precursors or their minions- as they were rumored to be able to achieve a higher state of mind which is almost omnipresent and that would explain the quote from GL. I think everything leads back to the Precursors one way or the other.

ihave a gaming magazine at home and it says that the protheameans are the enemy but i am confused everyone else is saying that the percusers are the enemy

No one is quite sure who the enemies are yet. So far, everything is just theory untill we get some solid info but the OP’s post seems quite plausible.
