I was just going through all of the terminals in halo 4 and came across the terminal:knights. Have you guys heard Faber’s voice? It’s so epic. The didactic is nothing in terms of an amazing forerunner voice lol. Seriously wish the terminals went into more depth.
You and me both. I absolutely love them, and I used to hate the Didact until I watched those terminal videos and literally got absorbed and fell in love with him as a character because of his tragic, yet interesting backstory. I watch the terminal vids again and if they added a little more depth it would feel like a Halo movie that is finally focused on one of the species I like in the Halo universe: The Forerunners. Seriously there should be something like that for the Didact, he is my favourite.
You only hear Faber speak once or twice, but unfortunately his voice actor is currently unknown, and no one knows who did the voice for Forthencho either.
My favourite part is definitely when you see the Didact in his new form and then he summons all his new Promethean Knights to fight for him.

Eh, I found his dialog in that scene (“Rise! Rise…”) to be hilariously over-the-top and cartoonish. Doesn’t hold a candle to his lines from the Greg Bear books.
There is something about the Didact’s old appearance, this strong big character…
I think Faber sounds funny, but the Terminals of Halo 4 were well done even if they have been retconned as of late.

Really? Lol I actually loved Faber’s voice. The forerunners are beating the elites in voice acting in my opinion. time for a contest! Hahaha

Not me, I found it noble and epic, but maybe that’s because I’m a Didact fangirl.
The terminals were pretty cool to watch, and definitely looked like it had a lot of time and effort put into creating them
The writing was not the best but I like the story enough that I can overlook it.
If you read the books you will find that they explain a lot graphically speaking.
I also enjoyed the terminals and found them a nice contrast to the currently ( The last book wasn’t out yet) unfinished but great story of the Forerunners. I Do think there are very few moments in game where the Didact’s dialogue matches or is on par with the novels dialogue but those few moments were absolutely amazing, the Didact is one of halos most interesting and layered characters and I can’t wait to see where his story goes in Guardians almost more so than John’s.
