Hey there Waypoint forum, I recently ran into a bit of a disappointing issue. After playing through Anniversary and finding out about the Forerunner glyphs at the end of the terminals, I looked up how to access the terminal code thingy in Waypoint. Having all the Forerunner glyphs for the terminals written down, I figured I might as well enter them all in one sitting while I was at that menu.
Here’s where I messed up: I forgot about Reach’s daily credit ceiling designed to prevent boosting. The 100,000+ credits you get for the terminal bonuses in Waypoint were apparently enough to hit the credits ceiling after having played quite a few games of Reach multiplayer earlier, and the credits from the terminal bonuses disappeared after I tried using them to purchase some stuff from the armory. At the time I entered the terminal glyphs into Waypoint two days ago, I was a General grade 4 in Reach, and the bonus ranked me up to about 1/4th of the way through Field Marshall. After buying both sniper shoulders from the armory, the game must have realized I had broken the daily credit limit or something, and I lost all the bonuses from Waypoint.
I know it’s not a huge deal in the long run and that they’re just credits, but it’s still kind of a bummer. Is there any way to reset the terminal entry in Waypoint and try it again, or am I out of luck? Thanks in advance for any help.
Out of luck. If you would’ve waited until the next day to play/buy anything you would’ve got to keep them. But since you purchased something you gave the game a chance to recognize you were over the 120,000cR limit that day, and any cR over that was lost. Sucks.
You are out of luck but if you use Custom Challenges while getting some Daily Challenges in Firefight for example, you will be able to quickly get those cR back.
> wait so those forerunner symbols at the of each vid equal credits, may i ask how to do that on reach to get the credits/
First of all take a picture of ALL the codes at the end of the Terminal, 10 in total.
Then head over to Halo Waypoint on console, and once you are on the main menu, press the ‘X’ Button and you will see FIVE coloured circles, these colours represent ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘X’ and ‘Y’ on your controller, so say if BLUE was one of the circles, press ‘X’ and it will ask you to enter the next one.
After doing that, you will be given access to a Terminal similar to the one Professor Anders used in Halo Wars in a cutscene.
When there, enter ONE code at a time, do NOT enter TWO codes, that does NOT work, the 10 slots are not used currently at the moment, only FIVE.
I believe it is 7k cR for each Terminal and then for the 10th terminal, you will get 37k cR.
You will ALSO unlock an 11th Terminal accessible via Halo Waypoint on Console, I will stop there as I don’t want to tell you what happens in it.

Aw man, impulse buying for the loss, huh? haha
That’s kind of what I figured, but I thought there might be some reset thing. Thanks anyway.

Custom challenges? Never heard of those, care to elaborate?
As for the terminals themselves, I thought the 11th terminal was a nice touch to tie things together. 343 Guilty Spark escapes the destruction of Installation 04 and makes it to the Forerunner mining facility above Threshold from the first two Arbiter levels in Halo 2, where he meets the future Heretic Leader, and explains how the Covenant’s beliefs are misled, starting the heretic group there.
