I think it was always supposed to be more than three weeks - there were only supposed to be seven challenges per week originally - and the ellipsis at the end of the third date indicates there is more to come.
Probably still a UI limitation though.
They did clearly explain it… on a big link on the news feed IN GAME, right where it said “fractures: Tenrai event” located on the bottom right of the main menu. At the time, they also had a big link in the forum news feed as well. You couldn’t miss either unless you weren’t paying attention. There is enough posts complaining about nonsense here. No reason to clutter up the forum with more junk posts like this when all it would’ve taken was 3 seconds of paying attention to the main game menu. I’d imagine you’d see it several times while playing the game for hours. Give me a break ffs.
The Tenrai event page only mentioned 3 weeks so most people are likely to see 3 weeks advertised and, based on that information, assume it’s an event running over 3 weeks.
It’s not great communication if what you are saying on the event page isn’t accurate and you expect players to just know that’s wrong and to go elsewhere to find out the actual dates. That is a failure of communication and I honestly don’t see how anyone can argue otherwise.
Yes in other places it did say it was 6 weeks long but it’s bad communication plain and simple to require someone to assume you are giving them incorrect or incomplete information in one place so and that they should go looking for the correct information elsewhere and if 343 are saying 3 weeks in one place and 6 weeks in another then surely you can understand players wanted to clarify which it is especially if their own support team aren’t even sure.
It is no-one’s fault but 343 that they released a UI that could only show 3 weeks for a 6 week event, that is not the player’s fault, nor is it the player’s fault if they use the forums to ask questions although yes, there are a few threads on this subject already so another wasn’t needed but I believe that’s the case for every topic on here and that’s probably where the moderators should be coming in and combining threads as is the case on most well run forums.

There really is no need to get worked up about it.
Someone asked a question because different official sources had contradictory information and they got an answer to that question. It’s not about you, it was about someone wanting to check some information, you’re ok.
