Lol no.

It is not illegal because the moment you buy the game an dhop online you are abiding by their TOS, if you violate their TOS they have every right to ban you.

Please learn some law before posting and making your self look dumb.

Are you referring to the temporary bans?

If so, all you have to do is wait a bit and restart your game.

Usually, you should start these threads with “I Am Not A Lawyer, but…” however, in this case I think it’s apparent that no IANAL caveat was required.

LOL so much entitlement going around these days

You think that’s bad, try paying a butterflee.

You get punished if you leave a game for no reason and letting you’re team mates suffer the pain.

Sue.
Please.
Please, please, sue.

Lol this guy can’t be serious. In fact I hope he is trolling for his sake. Otherwise, he clearly has no idea what T&C’s are. lmao.

and both should result in a ban, i can choose to hack during a game cause that is how i wanna play. (not true at all)

But it sounds like you can buy Live service with them, so you should be set!

Out of the matches I played the othernight, 9 out of the 10 wins or losses were as a result to 3v4 or 4v3 matches. I don’t feel a valid win when the other team is down a player, just like I don’t feel like the loss was justified when one of my match-made team members left in the first minutes of the game. And with CSR being linked to game wins, instead of KDR, leavers kinda screw over the rest of their team.
So yeah, quitting affects other people in Halo 5.

It doesn’t change anything. The team would have lost had the person stayed anyway.

Sounds like someone needed a time out…

You are not entitled to anything if you violate the ToS… You can debate the things that cross that line (kicked out of games for bad connection or server issue, etc.) but not that you already agreed to abide by the ToS when you bought you Live subscription and H5.

Yeah, I got banned for 10 hours because I accidentally killed my teammate twice in swat.

Yet the guy in warzone killing all of us with his ghost gets to roam free…

That doesn’t do a thing for mid-match quits, and Join in Progress gets even more hate than the banhammer system that’s been in place for years now. And the game pausing and waiting for someone to waltz by and join completely interrupts the experience, like switching hosts in past games. That’s not a solution in any sense either.

You agreed to Microsoft’s Terms of Service, and that extends to following the rules set in place by each developer. 343i makes it very clear which playlists have the banhammer in effect. If you don’t follow rules, you get punished, and rightfully so. I’ve lost several games because players on my team quit, and have won many because players on the other team quit. It’s really a bad experience, even though some quits might be justified, I do understand that. Idling isn’t justified.

And why do you think that?

Enjoy the Ban.

Two reasons you would want to quit a game:

  1. You’re doing terribly
  2. You actually have to leave

If you’re experiencing Option 1 and you don’t leave, you’re just feeding the other team free points. If you’re experiencing Option 2, you have to leave anyway, so it doesn’t matter.
