those bans are not just silly, but completely ILLEGAL
i’ve paid for the game, and paying a premium amount for LIVE service. i’ve payed every cent of the mothly fee, so i’m entitled to use every minute of it [technical issues aside]
whit those bans you are willingly causing a disservice in xbox live…that’s fraud…i suggest everyone to file an official complain whit microsoft
Omg that’s hilarious.
To play online you have to abide by the rules and regulations. It’s not an entitlement.
You paid to play their game. You do not own it. They have every right to dictate the rules of their competitive environment. Plus, it only punishes selfish players who are detrimental to the play experience of others.

What he said!
I do think the banhammer is a bit too touchy (1 swat betrayal = ban).

Nope, you have a contractual agreement with Microsoft to adhere to the Terms of Service. You agreed to be penalised should you breach them. For God’s sake.

Hmmmm… No; I’d rather the people get banned for ruining the experience of others.
You clearly do not understand anything about intellectual property and how licensing works. The only thing you own is the physical media and a usage license.
In more blunt simplistic terms, you don’t own anything. Like an amusement park, you pay money, and they let you experience the rides while you remain within the rules of the park.
I’d take the current system over perm. bans. Personally, it only hurts players that ruin the game (with possibly a few false positives). Read the ToS, though - you aren’t entitled to anything these days (for better or worse). Now, if they legally went after you for modding things outside of mp, like Rockstar, it’d be a different story.
Reminds me of those calls for people to take 343 and Microsoft to the Better Business Bureau because of the MCC. Nothing really came from that either.

I’d say the difference was that was a functonal problem with the game, as opposed to blatantly ripping on them for playing against the rules.

I know, all I’m saying is that if an actual problem like the MCC not working didn’t bring them down, some guy breaking the rules isn’t going anywhere.

The game is so right wing on banning people. People getting banned out the blue with no valid reason. I’ve been banned 2 times and each of those times I thought it was a glitch
no body is getting banned for jumping in front of the vehicles, running into the grenades, walking in front of people’s line of sight while in a fire fight. Half the time it’s the person who got team killed that deserves a ban.
and I can’t report people hiding at the end of a map for the game idling till the end to get their points.

That’s your problem. You are paying a Mothly fee. As much as I like moth’s because most are easy to catch at night I haven’t been able to successfully pass them as currency yet.

cry about it kid.
From what I’ve heard it’s actually hard to get a temp ban. Like you really have to mess around a lot for it to take effect.
It’s dumb to punish players for any reason, really. If a large amount of people on your team are griefing or something, you can easily quit and find another lobby. If it’s just one guy that teamkills you once or twice, just laugh about it (because he certainly is) and keep enjoying the game. If one of your teammates quits, he’s doing you a favor, because if he wanted to quit but had to stay so he wouldn’t get banned, he’d just be giving the other team free kills.
As a business, there’s no reason you should punish your customers for doing something that really doesn’t affect anyone else. If it gets too bad, players can always just quit and find better people to play with. Of course 343 is entitled to having a set of rules by which their customers should abide by, since their product is an online video game, but when they’re such trivial things as “Don’t quit, don’t suicide, don’t teamkill”, I can easily take my business elsewhere, to companies that don’t treat their customers like babies.
If I made an online video game, I would make it very known that my policy was, “Play the game however you want, and make sure to enjoy yourself! If you don’t like the people you’re playing with, there’s no penalty for quitting to find new lobbies. You’re all adults here, but even if you’re not, I know you’re mature enough to make your own decisions, so I won’t force anything on you. Hope you enjoy the game!”
The irony is being banned for leaving a game because of a design flaw. The ban system is as bad a the playlist, yet lack of social gaming.

ah, some players are missing. just pause scoring for a minute or two putting the match in warm-up mode, until new fellas waiting in the lobby can connect.
