Temporary ban for reporting a hackers?

So, yeah. I was just thrown out of 3 matches in a row for reporting players, and I was banned because apparently i quit too many matches, EVEN THOUGH I NEVER QUIT! Messages come back as Your fireteam has been changed yadyadayada

Match Number 1, Player kills me with a melee hit, even though he is 10 feet away and SHOT ME ONCE WITH A MAGNUM and registers as him killing me with a melee hit. I report him on the spot, and I get kicked out of the match RIGHT AFTER I report. Literally one second after i report them. I double check the gameplay footage from recorded matches, im full health, full shields, he is running away, both me and a teammate shoot at him, he turns around shoots me once with a magnum and it registers as a single melee hit and I die. No other source of damage, teammate kills him.

Reported him and got kicked out of the match. Now I thought this was weird, maybe its a single glitch or some BS I thought what ever, weird coincidence, move on to the next match.

Match Number 2, Player is waiting around a corner with rockets, He is full health, full shields, so am I, I decide to rush him to melee. I melee him, He shoots THE GROUND between the both of us, and only I die. I immediately report him for cheating, I get kicked out of the match instantly AGAIN right after reporting. I double check the footage, his rocket was closer to him than it was to me, and still only I died.

Again, report him immediately in game and the second I do, I get kicked.

At this point I am pissed off, I jump into a third match and IMMEDIATELY report someone on the other team, no reason or cause, Just to see what would happen. LO AND BEHOLD I IMMEDIATELY GET BOOTED FROM THE GAME. I get a message saying that I have been temporarily banned from quitting too many matches. I am -Yoinking!- sorry, I don’t quit matches unless specific circumstances.

If ANYONE can explain this, I would love to know what they think happened. NO LAG if anyone tries to use that I have AMAZING internet. Well…AMAZING IMO compared to what I have had in the past.

That is exxactly what I am saying, I was booted non-stop three matches in a row, and the game says I quit which is complete -Yoink-.

I guess I don’t get the part where you’re lying. I mean I report people all the time. I’ve even gotten people banned from XBL. Unless you somehow take an eternity and a half to report someone and the game thinks you’re going afk, then I’m calling shenanigans.

You can’t just hack an xbox like a PC. Running into two people doing it in a row is something I don’t believe, sorry. You sure it wasn’t some lag or rubber banding? Remember, you’ll still see the lag spikes even in theater.

I remember being told that modders can actually see if you reported them. I’ve heard modders even say such and such has reported them after a such and such privately reported them.

How do you check the games you were booted from cause they don’t show in my history

Call shenanigans all you want, this is what happened to me just now, right after it happened I came here to explain what happened, and hoped someone could explain, and not come here to write useless comments and troll.

You probably spam them with Reports. Yeah, sometimes some weird glitches happen, but your assumption is that every glitch is a cheater. Just how many people have you reported? And how many people have you reported for “no reason or cause”? I think I remember reading somewhere that simply reporting everything and everyone isn’t tolerated. If I misread, or simply didn’t, it’s also not cool. Get your finger off the report button and quit reporting people without reason.

Don’t insult our intelligence when you sound like that average kid player who blames everything and everyone for hacking. There are a multitude of things that could have happened.

You reported someone for hacking because they shot the ground near the two of you…and only you died? Maybe he was a step further back than you. That kind of stuff happens to me, it happens to everyone. It’s not hacking. I’m sure there have been plenty of times similar things have happened, but you were on the other end.

You legitimately said you reported someone for NO REASON. Get out of here, man.

No, games you were booted from dont show at-least not for me you have to go to theater RIGHT AFTER the match and select the htird option watch film that has always worked for me. I know better than to do anything else after i get booted cause the videos tend to not save.

No sir, there was no lag or rubber banding.I made sure that there was no BS going one that could have been on my end. I know it still shows in theater, because when it does I like to save those and laugh at them once in a while. XD

How do you know you got them banned from XBL?

What I mean is I’m curious to know how many games of mine got booted looking like a quit and such?

Report people without reason or cause? This is the first time that I have done it, just to test out if I would get booted or not. It is not something I do on a regular basis. Spam them with reports though is a possibility… on a normal Halo session (between 2 - 6 hours) I report maybe between 10 - 25 times for deaths that I honestly can’t explain after reviewing the match in theater mode.

I wonder if you were considered AFK long enough while reporting people to be booted for it.
