For some reason, I keep getting “Temporarily Banned From Xbox Live” whilst playing Reach.
Every time I load the game up it tells me that I’ve quit too many times recently and if I quit again then I’ll freceive a temporary ban.
Here’s the thing - I haven’t quit any games recently, in-fact, the last time I quit a game was about 2 months ago and yet it still tells me that I’m on probation and then randomly bans me after I’ve legitimately finished a game.
Does anyone else keep getting this problem?

You have to remember, the system registers a quit if you leave a game for any reason. This includes lagging out, dashboarding, or shutting off your console. Selecting “leave game” from the pause menu is only one way out of many to leave a game.

Hello. I posted the following in the spot where I thought I was supposed to (https://forums.halowaypoint.com//yaf_postst20947_Why-Did-I-Get-Banned--The-Official-Thread.aspx), but haven’t had any real feedback yet with regard to the reason for my ban.
"Hello. My name is Adam and my GT is “Mr Counselor” (without quotes). I was playing Halo: Reach online and was working towards the Weekly Challenge of this week by playing lots and lots of Grifball. I noticed for some reason, every once in a whole I would get a message to make sure I didn’t keep disconnecting, but I ignored it because I never disconnected at all. I thought that error message was strange, but honestly thought nothing of it. Anyhow, a few moments ago I received an information pop-up that my “XBOX 360 console was temporarily banned from earning any credits” and I can only assume it is because of the aforementioned message. Can someone over at 343 confirm why I was banned and if there was something wrong with what I was doing that may have accidentally violated the XBOX Live TOS or a violation within Halo: Reach itself? Thank you very much.
I certainly did not manipulate the network conditions, I don’t know how to modify the XBOX360 hardware or game software, I certainly wasn’t idling or quitting games as I always play in every game I am a part of, and I wasn’t impersonating Bungie or 343, or any Microsoft Employee.
As aforementioned, I was playing a LOT of Grifball with some of my friends (we had a full team of 8 players). We were going back and forth killing each other, and most games were pretty evenly matched. There were a couple of games that were really close, and others that went by quickly because I was able to get to the ball quickly and score. If the banhammer thought I was cheating, I am really speechless. I don’t understand how I could have been perceived as cheating, as I was only playing the games. I believe I ended up with 15 wins in Multiplayer Matchmaking last night, and that was over a course of 3+ hours. If that is cheating, then I would say I’m very bad at it!
Please help me. I do not want, nor think I deserve, to have my account banned. Please let me know what I did wrong, so I know not to do that again, and also how long it will take for my account to be completely reinstated.
UPDATE: It has now been over 48 hours, so this definitely isn’t a ban due to a daily credit cap. Additionally, I am still receiving two error messages. They are: “This XBOX 360 console has been temporarily banned from earning Credits” and “This account has been temporarily banned from earning Credits”. Please help me someone!
I wish I had a better solution than to just wait patiently. Realistically, I wasn’t intentionally maliciously trying to do anything deceitful. This is definitely a misunderstanding, but it appears that the moderators or “powers that be” aren’t responding to this thread. It’s also a bit frustrating that I cannot earn credits on XBOX Live, a service I have PAID for, all because of a misunderstanding.
If anyone is out there, I would really appreciate some feedback! Thank you very much.

The quit ban has always been utterly broken. It even effects Score Attack, which is a solo playlist. What kind of stupid -Yoink- is that? The constant probation garbage is without logic. I could play another 30 matches without quitting, but quit/betray in 1 match the next morning and I end up banned again. It should at the very least be based on the number of games you’re completing as opposed to slamming you with probation for days at a time even if you only quit once or twice a day out of 30-50 matches a day.
hello mitche1162 I think you miss understood about my message I made a lot of mistake on writing my words again in writing a post about my account so what I was saying is that is this, hello i justed wondering why i got this random message saying i got banned for arening credits. everytime i sign in it say’s this message that my xbox 360 console has been temperarly banned by arening credit and also saying to me my account has been temperarly banned but i do not understand that i do not cheat or boost in game or heck or mod and because i do not do these things because it’s the code of condect and i know the code of condect so i follow the code of condect but i still don’t understand how long i am banned for because i can play online in matchmaking but can’t get any credit by killing people in matchmaking so if anyone can help me or who work for this halo waypoint i be so thankful for you guys helping me to get my account back and to get my account recover to own credits again, so yes please help me i feel so dead that i’m right now noble and that i haven’t couch into the highest rank yet and that i realy want to couch up to be inheritor rank but i mean its justed that I am banned for getting credits and that I can’t rank up without credit and that I do not ever use my credits ever i like to save my credit, so sometime i feel like halo banned me for this for saving my credits because they think that i’m cheating but i am not cheating in my game in halo reach i am justed working my rank and my credit for this halo reach game and that the one thing why i hate spending my credits is because it’s very hard to me to get all my credit back again, and for me i do not have all my days to seat on my chair and play this game to get all those credit back again so instead i like to keep them and save them but if i were going to use my credit i would use it realy smart justed like in real life, you do not want to spend all your money like a mokey brian because then more work has to be done to get those money back so yop but again i do not cheat in game because it not what i do in game i play the game right and i justed like to play and enjoy the game right so yeah halo waypoint please help me please.
