temporarily banned from earning credits

why was my console and gamertag temporarilt suspended from earning credits and enforement team from xbox live doesnt show the ban

It could have been a multitude of reasoning but the most common one would be hitting the credit cap. If you hit that within a 24 hour period your likely to get banned from earning credits for about a month.

Not true. You don’t get banned for a month just for hitting the daily credit cap. If you do hit it, you just stop earning credits until the next day.

Good morning.

Looking through your Halo: Reach game history (Based upon what would load), I would say you were temporarily credit banned due to have 0 kills in a lot of your games. The banhammer considers this AFKing/AFCing (Away from Controller), meaning you’re idling the entire game, just physically present, but not playing, and in doing so, ruining the gameplay experience for the team you were on. You do have a low K/D ratio, and your spread seems to be negative in almost every game. If you are trying and not getting any kills, may I recommend some practice through Firefight Matchmaking? Also, you wouldn’t happen to be habitually quitting either would you? Quitting often can earn you a temporary cR ban from Reach as well as not being able to re-enter matchmaking for a duration.

This would only happen if you hit the credit cap using network manipulation, usually followed by either a rank reset or a ban from Halo: Reach. The banhammer would detect it and swing. Between that thread you posted and what you posted here, I would say you knew what you were doing with that ‘glitch’ you posted.

I have also been banned from earning credits could someone tell me why

What did you do to get banned again?

Good morning.

Community Engineer Cizlin and I just looked into this, and apparently you were temporarily banned for quitting too many games in a short duration. In the last nine days, you managed to quit ten games, however six of those games, were on 05-31-2015. By quitting multiple games in one day, it does increase your odds to temporarily be banned when you quit in the future.

Cizlin’s recommendation is that if you have an unreliable schedule and you know you will have to quit, he recommends you either play custom games or Campaign so if you quit, it’s not held against you.

I hope this helps and have a nice day now.

I got band for playing rumble pit with two of my friends split screen (they suck) and because they got 0 kills every game I played I got band. All I was doing was jumping about assassinating people like that custom gametype

I have also been credit banned but it wasn’t my fault I fell asleep and my controller died when I woke back up my screen had a message on it that said that I have been temporarily credit banned. I am fine with the ban as long as I still get to play the game I love. But, I would like to know how long I’ve been banned for.

Please use the ban thread pinned at the top of these forums for any queries on matchmaking bans
