So I was just playing Killer Instinct, checking out RAAM. And while I was playing on the Arbiter’s map, I noticed in the background, on the left side, is a destroyed Temple Wriath, the new Wraith variant coming in the Warzone Firefight update!
I think that’s pretty freaking cool!
So it looks like the Temple Wraith has been on 343i’s mind for quite some time, and maybe they were hinting that it was coming.

343i seems to have a lot of stuff planned down the line. I think the wasp has been in development since FF beta. During the Ign video, Ryan Mcgaffery (Did I spell that right?) said his coworker went to 343i studios to play against the grunt mecha months ago. It’s only now that the embargo was lifted.

Well to be fair, its not like they can fully create all their updates every month because of the time constraints and staffing numbers they have. It would require a lot of time to design all that stuff and implement it into the game with testing so they would have had to pre-plan some stuff at least.

You have no idea the shock I was in when I unlocked that spartan… so cool!!!
Ya know, the temple wraith is in the Swords of Sanghelios campaign mission destroyed as well.
There’s like 3 in the big open area just before you get to the Arbiter, where all these drop pods come in.

I just checked to see, and those are Sword Wraiths. Granted, they’re not the typical shade of color of Sword Wraiths, but they are definitely not Temple Wraiths. No way near as shiny.
I’m more impressed that the timestamp on the pic is from 1970.

For the name, replace the “g” with a “c” and you are good.

I dont know about you, but to me it doesn’t look like a sword wraith and it does look pretty golden.

EDIT, OK nvm the temple wraith coming in the update is more yellow than gold. Don’t know if they changed the paint job on the new one or if the one I mentioned (and showed) was just a different wraith entirely. It isn’t the temple wraith but I like to think that it was some version of one.
