Temple Vehicles may be Anti-EMP

Title says it all. While watching IGN go over the WZFF update, you see splinter grenades thrown at a Temple Ghost, and it doesn’t get stunned. Just imagine being able to fly a Banshee that can’t be PP’d!

Wow i saw that as well and just figured it was a glitch. Was gonna say something but didnt think it would have any meaning. Thatd be a interesting addition. Now with the wheelman mod its pretty hard to get jacked anyway.

Yes, and you get an unfriggenbelievable medal automatically awarded when you spawn one.

I think that if the Temple variants can’t be EMP’d, they’d have less health. It’d make it less OP.

My impression relates to my perception that the Splinter grenades sometimes don’t EMP normal vehicles. I’ve seen hogs and ghosts drive right through my splinter grenades unphased.

Im fine with them not getting EMP’d. The vehicles as we see them now, are extremely under powered do to emp and spartan mobility. The Banshee may get annoying but there are plenty of reqs that make countering vehicles (not including emp ones) easy.

While it would be cool to see the Temple Variants have EMP immunity, they’d still be weak lots of other REQ’s, like you said. I’ve had a Banshee Ultra killed by two Railgun shots before (may have been a glitch).

I think splinter grenades only generate an EMP in a precise time frame. It may be that the Wraith came after the initial discharge.

Taking it lore wise… i believe that these temple vehicles are sacred and thus are non-empable…(is that a word?) To balance it… i think they have very little health… i mean banshee ultra is already enough trouble. Something much sturdier and tough than it and non empable… that is just a crazy thought.

Maybe its like the Heretic Banshee…

I wouldn’t say it’s overrun with glitches. There’s a couple here and there, but overall I’d say it’s pretty polished.

or they changed the mechanics of bosses and/or splinter grenades…

oh, I figured whether or not a splinter EMPs a vehicle depended on how many splinters it actually drives through, like maybe there’s a minimum number. If only one or two hit it, perhaps it doesn’t trigger. Your explanation makes more sense tho.

I’ve driven multiple vehicles through the aftermath of a splinter nade and it always disables the vehicle. Even just one of the clusters will do it.
