I was just watching HaloFollower (I know, they’re -Yoink- sometimes) and they jokingly brought up the possibility of a Telltale Halo game. This got me thinking, could this work? When you look at a Telltale game’s choice architect it is actually much more linear than you would think, generally ending with a couple of different final outcomes that are still pretty similar. Even so, those gaps can definitely annoy us fiction lovers, especially in a universe as intricate as Halo’s. But what do you guys think? If it was done on a small enough scale, could it work?
If they could make it work, I for one would definitely love it. I love seeing Halo expand into all different directions, and Telltale has been killing it ever since their Walking Dead games’. Telltale game or not, a narrative focused game would be great to see (not to say Halo doesn’t already have a narrative focus)
I would buy it Lol so there’s that.
I’d love that if the story was self-contained enough.
Tbh no I don’t want a Telltale halo game. As much as I love their walking dead games their type of linear point and click corridor/semi open area find a object gameplay would be very limiting in the halo universe. I personally would love a platinum games developed game based around the covenant we’d get some badass sword battles.

It would be limited yes, it really needs to be to even work within the universe. The potential though for exploring new perspectives would well be worth it I think. It could tell literally any story from almost any perspective within the universe.
It wouldn’t even have to be spartan based, the possibilities are endless. I could totally see one in the vein of hunt the truth. Really hope someone with pull sees this thread or passes it along.

I think I’d like to see something more foreign, unknown. An outer colony/ rebel planet or an alien world. Really explore something new. Those options would also distance itself quite a bit from the core storyline as to not interfere by having these loose ends in the middle of everything.
With Microsoft owning Minecraft now, and Telltale doing Minecraft Story Mode, you know there’s a relationship there so who knows
As good of an idea that I think it is there’s one big issue with it. And that’s that halo is windows exclusive and I doubt xbox alone would be enough to make it worthwhile for them. If they were to do one I think a marine would be a good choice maybe even on a halo. It’s been too long since we’ve been on a halo.

You do have a point there. With their attempt at re-branding Windows 10 however, they certainly could bring it over. I foresee that in the future core Halo games will remain Xbox exclusive while others (Halo Wars 2 please) will be cross platform. Another thing, Halo is still a much bigger name than something like Borderlands and this could potentially make up for it not releasing on Playstation.
I think that would be awesome. As someone who loves The Walking Dead, I have to say that the TT games are my favourite TWD stories. TT would make a great Halo game, there are so many options of what they could do. I would love to play as a civilian and go through their life during a Covenant attack or something.
