Those two games have nothing in common with Halo Wars other then the top down view… and Spartan Strike isn’t even out yet!

Anyway it was a great game, probably my favorite RTS game, and it’s nice to see Halo go back to it’s RTS roots. Now if we could get a sequel… I mean a lot has been added since 2009. Imagine controlling a Lich or Mammoth on the battlefield backed up by Mantes and Falcons while fighting off a huge army of Covenant and Prometheans with Spartan-IVs?

I never actually played the full game, I only played the demo over and over again, But I liked it

It’s basically a very bare-bones RTS, and I’m sure that’s due to the limitations of a console controller. That being said, the simplicity makes it a very good primer for the genre as a whole. Kinda like how Skyrim may lead people to try out other western-style RPGs.

Amazing graphics on the cutscenes. It was awesome being Covenant leaders as well. Good wide variety of vehicles old and new. I had never played that game style before so I only got it because it said “Halo” on the cover. Once I started though, I was highly addicted. I hope they bring it back with the option to be a Forerunner Leader!

Oh my gosh, it was epic. The cutscenes were some of the best in gaming. The scene were the Spirit of fire flies over a forest was insane. The trees look like ants compared the the massive vessel.

That would be OP. Forerunner ships were on another level. If they use the smaller ships, yeah, but Fortress class ships were over 100 kilometers.

Let’s not forget that the only known living Forerunner as of 2557 had a command ship Mantle’s Approach which was larger then those, especially in the height department

I sucked at that game. I was a General in that game, and I was still bad at it.

But man did I freaking love it! Surprisingly for me, since RTSs aren’t really my thing. The Campaign was decent, but I did have some issues with it (the #1 that bugged me was that the Flood weren’t menacing/scary/galaxy threatening, like at all). And the Multiplayer, I played sooo much of it. I reached General rank, and not by doing good either. But I didn’t like how some of the vehicles were way too good (Grizzlies and Hawks, I’m looking at you).

Overall, it was a very good game that I surprisingly really enjoyed. Granted it had its hiccups (let’s be real, what game doesn’t?), but overall, I loved it. And I can’t wait for Halo Wars 2; It’s gonna be sooo freaking good!

Oh, and I played the Yoink out of that demo! And I mean it when I played the Yoink out of that demo.

One of my favorite Halos, tbh. Loved the characters, the vehicles and gameplay…it honestly was amazing.

I might not have gotten that damn achievement…but I’ve been ready for the sequel for years now.

It was fun. I’m awful at rts, but it was still fun. Mostly I liked the vehicles and Flood forms.

I enjoyed it. Great to see more of the unsc and covies armoury. It took me back to my youth when all i played was beet em ups, rts’ and turn Based rpgs.

Loved commanding forces for either side, awesome!!

Best story for a RTS I ever seen

Even though i’m awful at RTS (I completed Age of Mythology by cheating), Halo wars kept me playing and doing matches against the AI

Oh, come on. Grizzlies were so bad they’d lose to Scorpions in a straight fight.

I don’t really enjoy Strategy games, so it wasn’t really thing. I’m sure some will have enjoyed it. I did appreciate the art style and music; it was quite fitting for the Halo universe. But I thought the storytelling and and character development was poor. All of the characters felt like walking cliches and the plot felt like a rip-off of Halo: CE.

Um, last I checked one Grizzly could take scorpions in a fight with no problem unless they had the power turret. Of course I haven’t actually played multiplayer for the game in like three years so I don’t quite remember.

I hated it. The story was barely developed. The characters were there to hep with taking out Covies and figure out why they where there…no other explanation. The cutscenes, while pretty amazing, lacked a narrative driving force for the whole game. They just advanced us to the next level after completing the previous one. The graphics were decent for the Xbox 360 I can say. Also I dispised the multiplayer .Literally played one game and quit it. The lore was neat, but as a Halo game it had the bare minimun of what makes Halos story interesting.

I don’t play RTS’s normally, but being a Halo fan I had to play this one. I was pleasantly surprised. The controls were simple enough on an xbox controller and even though the story was rather isolated, I really enjoyed the new characters and am happy to see them referenced in newer media.

Halowars was a very great game too me it was the hardest to play on legendary… Being able to command an army was really cool. The story I loved to and I wonder if they’ll ever say something about the spirit of fire in future games considering there lost In space and theres also three more Spartans 2s…how ever if they were ever to make a second one I hope for customization of bases and troops… If I’m controlling a army I want my on banner to symbolize my army…
