Backstory:
Kilees Sovam’ee, also known as the Ultra Zealot, began his life on the Elite dominated planet, Ulgethon. He could have become Kaidon of his house, Sovam, but was disgraced for being considered too weak and merciful. He could have been trialed for this act of weakness, but was spared by the Prophet of Redemption. Through this, Kilees became commander in the Covenant military, who became well known and respected among all Elites. From his many missions, both in spec-ops, and in ground assault, he earned the rare rank of Ultra Zealot, varying in leading and commanding both stealth and assault missions. However, he had a consistency with questioning the word of the Prophets, particularly the humans being deemed as heretics. Having constantly faced humans, he found a respect in witnessing their heroic actions, especially on Reach, for which he took part in a strike team procuring data from Visegrad Relay. His beliefs would soon bare fruit when discovering the truth of the Prophets deceit. While this justified his beliefs, it unfortunately lead him to kill the very Prophet who saved him, after his attempt to kill him first. The Ultra Zealot, along with all the Elites formally apart of the Covenant, joined Humanity in the fight against the Covenant. Kilees had even personally teamed up with Spartan Walker, Sierra 184, of Wrath Team. Together, that battled from Earth to the Ark, and defeated the Prophets. Afterwords, Kilees claimed his position as Kaidon of House Sovam, but also remained as a commander among the newly formed Swords of Sanghelios, still upholding the rank of Ultra Zealot.

Shouldn’t he die? If he suffered so many injuries and elites usually refuse medical attentions

It depends entirely on the severity of the injures in question.

We are only told “injured many times” and injured is very dependable. It can range from “Oh god, I got half my face blown off!” to “Oh god, I got a paper cut!”

You got a paper cut from battle? What are your chances of continuing to get non-serious-easily-healed wounds?

It was an example, nothing more to show case just how varied the severity of an “injured” can be as per its definition.

“harmed, damaged, or impaired.”

Actually, I could have gone lower than a paper cut and say he mostly got bruises or something along those lines, sprained ankle, since we were given you know, zero details for what kind of injuries his Elite got.

And again, that is entirely dependent on what he puts for his back story. For all we could know, he only went to schools for kids and slaughtered defenseless children to farm kills to advance to his current rank since the Elite ranking system is “more kills = higher rank” (Halo 2 guidebook) with the occasional teacher or solider hitting him with a weapon which again, is entirely dependent on where it hits, what range, his quality of armor, which weapon it was, and what caliber it was. Then we have to consider how varied “many” can be and whether or not he only got “injured many times” in a single battle.

So it is entirely possible with what details we are given and modern definitions that he only got bruises from rounds failing to penetrate his armor in a single battle, that it’s. And it would fit entirely in line with what we are given for his lore because you know, zero details that are important to the original question.

Split jaws…

Is that supposed to be derogatory?
