Has anyone else had issues unlocking the Teishin Raikou armor set?
Supposedly if you are an XBL gold member and play an online match before Nov. 7, you get the armor set for free. I’ve played a number of matches and the armor still won’t pop for me, even after logging out several times and doing a hard reset on the console.
Does anyone know what is up with this?

It’s a REQ unlock. I am not sure who said you get it for being a gold member but they are wrong. I’ve gotten both pieces from REQ packs.

It’s listed in the bonus section. I assume it’s free for meeting these conditions. I’ve gotten the normal “Teishin” variation for a REQ pack too, but the “Teishin Raikou” variation is still locked.
I also haven’t gotten it.

Well, I’ve unlocked both pieces from different REQ packs days apart.
Since Gamestop says you will get it though, it is likely once November 7th passes. It probably should read “Gamers who played Halo 5: Guardians before November 8th will receive this armor”

You will receive your REQ pack with the armor November 7th if you played the game before.
So wait and see. 
Except some players have already been issued the whole set…
I just want the Raikou chest, I don’t really care about the helmet.
I’ve only gotten the original one while the Teishin Raikou is still locked. Maybe it disappears from the list of available armors post 11/7?

343i said they will send everybody the armor when they are done tallying everyone who will receive it. (It is after all every single person who played online from launch to today so that’s thousands)
You know, they could have made playing an online match be an achievement. That achievement could have then been tied to unlocking the armor. That way they wouldn’t have to tally numbers by hand. At least, that’s how Halo 3 did it…oh wait. Sorry, forgot. That was Bungie.

I got the full set and i must say that it is worth searching for it!!!
Hey guys, I just unlocked the whole set. However, the way I got it just adds to the mystery. I received a message from xbox live:“Thank you for playing Halo 5. You’ve earned a promo REQ Pack including the Teishen Raikou armor set!” Didn’t tell me how, just the message and a code.
