After reading the article, it is clear that it isn’t just a niche of Halo fans that is asking Halo to return to its mature, M rated roots, its the gaming community at large. Please adjust the graphics, textures etc. in the game to reflect this, instead of the plasticky Mega Bloks like demo that we got. We want blood splats, grit and gore too - especially if the flood are coming back!
From a concerned Halo fan.
I fear it might be too late at this point, since Infinite is gonna be Halo for the next ten years.

- sounds like we probably aren’t getting a beta so you’re right
Another one of these? I still don’t get why this is such a big deal. Outside of a few select scenes pretty much every Halo deserves a T rating. Star Wars Republic Commando is equally violent and is rated T. Just because you can paint the floor in blood doesn’t mean your game is suddenly more “mature” just like there can be plenty of mature themed games rated T. If Infinite falls short it won’t be because of the rating.
I fear what they will do if the flood return. I think reanimated corpses and shooting limbs off would constitute a M rating, unless they totally ruin them. Another reason this is concerning is how they changed the MCC for China is very close to what has been done to this game (if this is final). Really not thrilled if they are changing US products to make more money in a country that is behaving like 1940’s Germany.

Another guy complaining about “Halo infinite being T I can’t play it!”
I get that you want it to have the fancy M sticker, but let’s think about some facts. All you know about it being “T for teen” is because that is what it shows on the Microsoft store. Consider this. Right now the only reason I see why it’s T for teen is because the ERSB has not yet rated it yet as said on the trailer, it’s simply a placeholder. We clearly see blood in the trailer, it comes from the grunts and elites, and every other enemy for my knowledge. ERSB usually adds blood, but Infinite simply has “Violence” and nothing else, despite again, seeing blood.

Surprise surprise, “Halo343kid” lecturing us about teen ratings. Couldn’t make this up.

My issue with the T rating is that the flood, like other body horror gets an M rating. If this game is going to be our source of Halo gameplay for the next ten years, I want the flood in there. I sincerely hope you’re right about the current rating being a placeholder, and that it changes.

Does it matter if I’m younger than 18? If you are a mature person you would know it’s the facts in an argument, not the persons age or what they like. Clearly you aren’t capable of comprehending that.

I don’t really see it as lecturing. Hes just saying it may be a placeholder and he could be right in all honesty.

Look kid, this is a “mature” topic, I’m not sure if you should be taking part
In all seriousness though I played Halo when I was young and the age rating doesn’t affect really this day and age who plays the game (look at all the kids who plays GTA), it does however affect the content of the game which is why I made this post to outline that TechRadar made this article.

Another quote because I’m not used to this UI. Anyways, I completely agree with you and maybe I was a bit too blunt, but I swear there have been several people complaining about it not being rated mature, which is rather annoying.
I do agree with you, if the flood are present then they should be gorey and whatnot, give you goosebumps or whatever you call it. But like I said before, there was blood present in the gameplay and the ERSB does add “Blood” to the tickbox or whatever it is next the the mature or teen rating. That isn’t present, so I’m hoping it’s a placeholder.

I’m not going to bother with you anymore really. You clearly aren’t capable of comprehending that you can be mentally mature as well. Or in your case immature.

I think you overreacted there - OP clearly made a joke.
I do agree Halo has gone far too cartoony and toy like with graphics ever since 5.
I like the look, I just want them to dirty it up a little with some mud and blood. If that happens to warrant an M rating, sure. Doubt they will do anything to get an M rating purposefully though, as that is probably seen as a divisive marketing strategy depending on who you ask and who you’re targeting

I miss the blunt dialogue from the marines in the bungie games - “wipe those B**tards off the deck” in Halo 3 etc. Along with the blood splats present in every game but 5 (and now infinite). The omission of these things in favour of the clean, plasticky look with family friendly dialogue takes me out of the experience imo.

Reach was my favorite balance of color and cartoon with dirt, grime, blood and violence. It was a little lighter on the language but I don’t give a -Yoink- about that one way or another. Realistically those marines would sound like a GTA V cast member so I can’t really hold any language points against any of the Halos
Maybe military culture in 500 years is more lacking of profanity and seriousness. lol I hope for the M rating as well, I miss old Halo, mainly the Flood and the horrors.
lol who are you trying to look tough for? Grow up
Please don’t revive old topics thanks
