Technical issue with Spartan ops (343i???)

hi guys.

Since I own a 10 Gig Hard Drive Disk for my old xbox and I’d like to save H4 on it so it plays smoother, I’ll probably only have about 5-6 Gig of free space left. Since Spartan ops will be weekly DLC, my HDD will probably be full very quickly (also with the 3 post-lunch map pack DLC I’ll get with my Limited Edition). The guy at the store where I pre-ordered told me to buy regular usb memory sticks and simply plug them into the xbox and this will get me extra storage for all the DLC. Anyone can confirm this? Has Anybody tried this with Reach DLC. I mean, I know you can store stuff on it but will it play correctly with all the DLC from Halo 4?

I just want to prepare before the game comes out so when I get my hands on it, put the disc in, I’ll be playing it the way 343i have intended us to do. Runing into technical problems on lunch night would just be really bad…

thanks for you help!

Upgrade your hard drive.

I don’t really wanna spend over 100$ to get a 150 gig HDD… and the old HDD are hard to find these days… most stores only have the new HDD…

id just buy a new hard drive

This isn’t a technical issue with Spartan Op’s…

If you haven’t got enough memory delete some things or upgrade. It’s pretty simple.

Don’t really know,i have a 250G HDD so i never cared about this.

ok did a little research and this is your best bet i know $300 is a lot but the only other new xboxs have 4gb hdd which wont help and are 200 and youll end up probably spending 100 on the bigger hdd so ud spend 300 anyway i dont know how long the 50 gift card last but that will save you money down the road also idk if youd want it but you could turn around and sell the kinect back to them (i wouldnt recomend because its fun with halo cea and they might do something with it in h4)but the kinect kinect adventures(included) and the gift card would probably be enough to get your limited edition h4 and most likely your gonna want to get other games this holiday and early next year (i personally cant wait for borderlands 2 and gta 5) so your probably not going to want to delete any halo stuff once you get new games. i got this bundle and im pretty sure the hdd is 250 hope this helps

and im pretty sure the usb thing will work but who wants to do that theres risk of it dying which if you dont disconnect properly it will pretty fast/ risk of loosing it/risk of frolicking kids or pets snapping it off had this happen to me with my old xbox not fun!

lol! C’mon now… what’s wrong with trying to figure out the cheapest way to get things working the way you want? we’re not all milionaires you know… I have a mrotgage, car, food, and college funds to put money in for my daughter. we’re not all 14 year olds who live with their parents on this forum…

anyways… that’s what I’m gonna do. Checked’em out on ebay and i found a 60 Gig one not too expensive.

/thread…

Try amazon and see if they got 60GB HDDs

I have a feeling Halo 4 will take up at least 7GB. Therefore you’d only have about 3GB HDD space remaining. I’d recommend you get a better Hard Drive, although I believe (but Im not certain), that certain USB Memory Sticks can be used to hold Xbox 360 DLC. I’d recommend you got one of the official Xbox 360 branded one’s for this; I know mine isn’t good enough to do it.

You can buy a 60GB HDD from Amazon.com for $60.

You could try installing Halo 4 on your HDD then buying a SanDisk 8/16GB thumb drive for your gamesave/DLC. That’s what I’m doing, and I haven’t bumped into problems so far.

lol @ richie rich a couple of posts above
