Me and a friend just bought MCC on Steam and when he launches the game he can’t click the button to sign in with his Xbox account. He tried using a gamepad and can’t get it to work, any ideas?

So let me get this straight - he is launching the game and the window does not appear asking for his Xbox Live account info?

It does appear but the window itself can’t be interacted with and the program itself isn’t a game lol. So typically when you launch a game or whatever it saves your settings via .ini file or whatever the file is (i forget) sorry. And in that file you can change the values of resolution and whatnot and make the game windowed. But since the game isn’t even launching, due to not having even being able to sign in, there isn’t even a file being created. He said it has something to do with the resolution because that’s what other people are saying via google but we can’t figure it out.

What resolution is he running? Does his system meet the minimum requirements specified on steam to run the MCC and have it function properly? I personally wouldn’t go lower than 1920x1080. If that is all good the next tactic I’d recommend is trying a file integrity check via steam to make sure everything is installed properly and there are no corrupted files on the system.

He’s running at 1440p and has more than the recommended specs. Verified files but didn’t do anything sadly.

From what I remember when I played MCC for the first time on PC back in December, you open the game and the first thing that happens is a window appears asking for your login details for your Xbox profile. I would not personally recommend messing with any game files or configuration files unless you are a more advanced user and know what you are doing/understand the game file structure. Make sure your friend is running in fullscreen too. If that doesn’t fix anything, unfortunately I’d have to recommend an uninstall and reinstall of the entire MCC game. So uninstall it, reboot the PC, reinstall it, and then try to see if the game launches properly with the login window functional.
