Need some help. I am unable to run 2 Xbox one systems off my internet connection in matchmaking. Works great for LAN events with everyone connected to Xbox live on my internet (as many as 6 systems run flawless.) However, when trying to play matchmaking with 2 Xbox’s hooked to the internet, one system will load into the match and the other will stop loading halfway, then get kicked to the main menu. We’ve tried wired, as well as wireless. Same results. Of course the almighty banhammer is in full effect. Anyone else have this issue? Any advice is appreciated.
Do you have UPnP enabled on your router? If not, try enabling it. If it is already on, turn it off. You can find instructions on how to do so by googling your router name and adding “UPnP” at the end.
A complete shot in the dark answer… Do you have enough bandwidth to run two separate consoles hooked to the internet along with whatever else you are doing online. From what I have read some seem to have trouble running multiple consoles along with others trying to stream movies or music and whatnot. Your connection can be like ugh so much traffic…

Appreciate the tip, I will check that out for sure!

Thanks for the tip, it definitely has the capability. It’s not the fastest out there but I’m getting around 300 down and 20 up. I’ve played with multiple devices streaming Netflix, videos, music, etc at the same time I’m playing. Our LAN events run through online play to incorporate someone who has to play from home. We have ran up to 6 systems on my internet with one to two systems connecting to us online (those that couldn’t physically make it to the house). Everyone at the house also has their phones on my WiFi. Connection is flawless in the matches. Only happens in matchmaking. It can be team doubles, playing against a player/guest on one system and it will still kick one of us. I’m kind of at a loss. I’m going to try the UPnP as stated by the previous comment and see if that changes. We’ve played destiny on their servers on matchmaking from separate systems with no issues (been a while though). I’m leaning towards the 343 servers, but need to do my part to eliminate the possibility on my end.
