not sure this will help anyone but apparently this person has released info before about halo that came to fruition. What do you guys think this means??? I thought it possible that maybe there isn’t AS many problems as we’ve hypothesized and they legit were just “perfecting” the last few things. I also thought maybe just maybe of a new release date 1-17-21? With the campaign being larger than both previous halo’s combined and it will change everything is it plausible that we could literally have two campaigns, one from chief and another from the banished where you play as the main villain?

If the cause of the delay was just graphical then 343 should have a lot of coders who aren’t involved with graphics who need to do something.

Also depends on which particular assets were sent to other companies for completion. The fact that the person addresses a question of “spring or fall” to which he/she replied “sooner rather than later” is a good sign

Pretty sure the cause of the delay was to make sure all features would be ready for launch and not launching without stuff like Halo 4 and 5.
I’m thinking February-ish, maybe March at latest. Like has been already said, the only real issues we know of are graphical, as well as the lack of ray tracing at launch. Then there’s arguably smaller things like the magnum and shotgun not being in at launch, which is upsetting but arguably a smaller issue they could likely deal with easily, and we don’t know what other content may have been missing from launch had they stuck to the original release date. With the delay, I’m certain these issues could be fixed. I see absolutely no reason for it to take so long, it’s not like they’re overhauling the game. The extra time is for polish and fully implementing features they otherwise wouldn’t have had time for.

Yeah. The way they keep calling out Sony like an Xbox fanboy doesn’t really suit a developer, but I guess as a nameless account they can say whatever they feel like and they ARE (allegedly) on team Xbox. But I’m not convinced, personally. Regardless, they didn’t actually say anything of substance. It’s no surprise that the delay will allow 343i to add more features, the opposite would have been a surprise.

I’m not sure, I don’t have social media to have that type of knowledge. I know I haven’t jumped on the “pre-order” wagon yet until I hear something official as well.
