The TROOPS of UNSC© Halo Clan wants YOU!

We’re looking for players who are tired of playing solo, or want a good team, wanting to get into Machinima, or have Machinima experience, host Tournaments, and be a part of something great.
We’re looking for players who will be dedicated enough to be on the website as much as they’re on XboxLIVE.
We’re looking for someone to help with promoting the UNSC on Facebook and Twitter.
We’re looking for dedicated SPARTANS. Dedicated to the game, dedicated to their unit, and dedicated to the greatness of the Clan.

What we offer:

We offer a full indulgence in the Halo universe.

  • UNSC Role Play: Write your own Spartan’s Story which will most likely be combined with others and become a part of a large story machinima.
  • O.N.I. Intelligence Gathering and Halo Information.
  • CT - Competitive Training (will Host our Tournaments, and represent the UNSC on Halo Waypoint forums with our stats.)
  • FORGE/Machinima Team (Right now we’re building maps, and writing scripts, and doing some filming. VOICE ACTORS NEEDED)
  • Halo Knowledge (at least 8 of us are Die Hard Halo fans, read the books, played all the games, etc.)
  • GEAR (Custom Clan Logo’d Gear, such as Dogtags, Tshirts, Hoodies, Posters, Mugs, etc. You name it, we’ll do what we can to get it.

TOURNAMENTS:

The UNSC will be hosting Monthly Tournaments, WITH ACTUAL CASH PRIZES! YES, you heard right.
Rules and Information will be up Below, and on the website within a few days from now, so stay tuned.

There will be both FREE and PAID tournaments, so Join up, and participate.

What we need more than anything:

  • Dedicated players who want to be a part of a unit, team, group, brotherhood, and family. We’re here to help you get great, so long as you help us get great. Or, at least assist in our attempt.
  • Leaders who wish to help take the UNSC to its best place yet.

IF you slack off, are not on the site for more than 1 weeks, or fail to report to your Commanding Officer on a regular basis, you will be held over for court-martial, and possibly discharged from the UNSC.
We do not tolerate Complacency here. We’re here to prosper, grow, and progress. If you’re only going to join, to use the name for your own benefit, to say you’re a part of something, and never do any work, you won’t get far.

TOURNAMENTS:

The UNSC will be hosting Monthly Tournaments, WITH ACTUAL CASH PRIZES! YES, you heard right.
Here’s how it’s done.

  1. MID MONTH TOURNEY
    1.0 Every mid-month (the 14-16th approximately, see site for details) there will be a FREE TO ENTER tournament for doubles and teams of 4. These tournaments will be OPEN to the public, but a team of each from the TROOPS of UNSC© will be hosting the Tournament. (Meaning, one of our leadership get’s to observe the matches, to ensure all the rules are followed.)
    1.1 Every match will be played on 3 different gametypes, and on 3 different maps, so no team has the advantage.
    1.2 The matches will be played on STOCK maps, but the Observer will be on GREEN team, and will not be killed by either team for any reason, or game stat points will be docked.
    1.3 The winners of the set of 3 matches will go on to face more winners, and work up the ladders on the site, as set out by the administrators of the tournaments.
    1.4 Teams will be chosen at random. (Literally, names in a hat or bowl and chosen.)
    1.5 Teams will not be allowed to change, once set.
    1.6 Each match will be scheduled, and the participants MUST attend, or they forfeit their slot and attendance.
    1.6.1 SEE 3.4 for info on ABSENTEE players.
    1.7 Have fun, be sporting, and hope to win.

  2. END OF THE MONTH TOURNEY
    2.0 Every end of the month (the 29th-2nd approximately, see site for details) there will be a PAY TO ENTER (See 4.) tournament for doubles, teams of 4, and teams of 8. These tournaments will be OPEN to the public, but a team (or member of one) from the TROOPS of UNSC© will be hosting the Tournament. (Meaning, one of our leadership get’s to observe/play in the matches, to ensure all the rules are followed.)
    2.1 Every match will be played on 5 different gametypes, and on 5 different maps, so no team has the advantage.
    2.2 The matches will be played on STOCK maps, but the Observer/Host will be in one of the participating teams.
    2.3 The winners of the set of 5 matches will go on to face more winners, and work up the ladders on the site, as set out by the administrators of the tournaments.
    2.4 Teams will be chosen at random. (Literally, names in a hat or bowl and chosen.)
    2.5 Teams will not be allowed to change, once set.
    2.6 Each match will be scheduled, and the participants MUST attend, or they forfeit their slot and attendance.
    2.6.1 SEE 3.4 for info on ABSENTEE players.

  3. OTHER RULES and DEFINITIONS
    3.1 Each match may be subject to review by Observer or Tournament Administrator, for the purpose of eliminating any cheating, modding, hacking, lag-switching, or any unsporting conduct in said matches, and anything that would violate the Microsoft and 343i Terms of Use for the Halo 4 game and Xbox/Xbox Live Console and Network.
    3.1 Unsporting conduct is determined by T-Bagging, Meleeing dead bodies, or even in harsh words exchanged in or out of party, Harassment, Insulting Trash Talk, or anything else deemed so by the administrator.
    3.2 IF you are caught engaged in Unsporting Conduct, you automatically forfeit your entire Game-play time, slot, and any other participation in the Hosted tournament.
    3.3 IF at any time you are caught engaged in Unsporting Conduct, your gamertag will be posted on Halo Waypoint, the Clan Website, and other Community Sites, alerting others to your misconduct, and to avoid you where-ever possible.
    3.4 If there is an opening (a missing player, or drop out) during a later match, a player who missed earlier may be substituted. This is NOT Negotiable, and is up to Also make sure your team is all online at the same time, to ensure you’re ready to go when the clock strikes.
    3.5 Any Individual Players who sign up as soloists, will be merged into slots as they become available, or put on teams with other individuals. You will be notified on the Website prior to your match, so you have time to warm up, practice, and communicate.
    3.6 Team Matchup Schedules will be posted ONE Week Prior to the Start of the Tournament ON THE WEBSITE. You will NOT be notified by email, text, xbox live, or any other manor, until your match is to begin. Then you will be invited via XBOX Live By the assigned Tournament Host. (A UNSC in the gamertag will be a dead giveaway.)

  4. BUY IN RULES
    4.1 Buy In is determined by which Tournament Grouping you wish to participate in, whether you have a set team in place to pay with/for, and if you decide to participate after your opponent is chosen.
    4.1.1 Every team/individual Payee has the choice to drop out, up to 24 hours before the scheduled match is to take place, with a full refund of the pay-in. If the payee decides to drop out of the Tournament after the 24 hours, the funds will not be returned, and are held by the TROOPS of UNSC© Halo Clan.
    4.1.2 Every Team/individual Payee has the choice to request another FIRST team matchup, up to 48 hours before the scheduled match is to take place. Afterwards, matches will be set, and no alternates available.
    4.2 Buy In’s are set to Individuals at $5 US Dollars Each, Teams of 2 for $8 USD, Teams of 4 for $15 USD, and Teams of 8 for $25 USD. (Might seem a bit much, but not when you see the prizes.)
    4.3 Buy In’s will be conducted on the Website, by purchasing a ticket number for yourself or your team.
    4.4 Multiple Buy In’s are allowed if an individual or Team wishes to participate in more than one Tournament Division. (Meaning Doubles and 4 on 4, or 4 on 4 and 8 on 8, or doubles and 8 on 8.)
    4.4.1 In this case, the FIRST Buy In is refundable upon the above stated rules, but the Second Buy in is NOT REFUNDABLE, and if the Payee or Team does not participate, the funds are held by the TROOPS of UNSC© Halo Clan.
    4.5 NOTICE – At any time, your games may be recorded, saved for later, reviewed, or otherwise used in any CLAN related objects and events, such as but not limited to, Training Videos, Machinima Clips, Etc. IF you do not wish this, then you cannot participate in the TROOPS of UNSC© Hosted Tournaments.

  5. REFUNDS
    5.1 Refunds are granted upon the complete following of all rules regarding them, and will be sent within a 2 week date from the END of the tournament.
    5.2 An expedited refund will be available, should there be a need or reason (bills need paid, rent, etc. – But, why the hell are you spending money, when you need it?) at the discretion of the ADMINISTRATOR of TOURNAMENTS (UNSC Trekman).

Tournament prizes range from $10 Visa Gift cards, to 1600 Microsoft points, to 3 months of LIVE. Depending on quantity of entries, we may go higher still and provide much more as the tournaments develop.
