Does 343 impose any penalty on people who play as a team in Rumble Pit? I’m getting very tired of seeing people join as a party and then run around together and never shoot at each other, giving themselves an unfair advantage.
What does that matter in a free-for-all slayer? Let them do whatever they want. Rather they avoid someone than betray someone and slow host-exchanges.
there are worse problems out there, but yeah that sort of behaviour shouldn’t be tolerated. I don’t really see how one can fix this though. However, I don’t think it’s really that much of an advantage. And besides, it spoils the fun more for themselves than it does for the others. After all, how will they know who is superior If they assist in eachothers kills? That’s the point of rumble pit, right? Finding out who is the best of all 8 players?
Fight fire with fire!
Do as they do and than all will depend on how you play.

No. It’s FFA so anything goes. I can’t say I’ve run across that situation TOO often though. You must have the worst luck, OP!
Teams in Rumble Pit doesn’t work that often. Most people are smart enough to realise and stay away from their hidy hole.
I more often see people getting together and getting challenges. The last 8 kills with Grenades challenge had a few (that I took advantage of). Pretty much anytime an Assassination challenge comes up they team up.
It’s not that big of an issue for 343i to worry about, I see it rarely, But i hear you, It is annoying.

this ^^ , often times both players will change their color to pink… then you know it’s coming
Have you got like over 3+ people on pink having teamwork and tea-baggin’ after every kill?
To whoever does that, shame on you.
You know, from my experience, when ever I have played online free for all online in any game the people in my party become bigger targets than teammates. This could be very different though in Reach FFA since I haven’t played it much.
I haven’t come across this all that often, to be honest. But when I have, it definitely sucks!
Usually, whenever I’m in a party with people and we go into Rumble Pit, there’s more competition between us than there is the people who were randomly matched with us!
This even happened in Lone Wolves in Halo 3. Nothing annoyed me more while I was playing on my 50 all the time when all I saw was kids working together in Lone Wolves so that they could cheat other players out of a higher rank.
I doubt anything can be done about it though. It really comes down to an honour system in a ranked FFA system whereas in Rumble Pit I could almost careless. You’ve got plenty of Reach ‘Casuals’ out there who want to get the daily point achievements and this is the best way to do it unfortunately.
