Teamwork = Hide when shield is popped

The first night I bought this game I had a blast.

Now strategies are developing, and I dislike them all. All two of them.

Strategy A) Stay with team and shoot at anyone they shoot at, hide whenever your shield is low or popped.

Strategy B) Get a power weapon and either hide/camp, or stay with team.

Why does blue side get a gauss hog while red side gets a turret hog?

Turret hogs are useless in maps filled with nothing but turns and twists. If all hogs were gauss, then they would be worthwhile.

I’ve got to be honest I really don’t see an issue with 1. This is what everyone should be doing in a team game, or at least some version of this. Your enemy dies faster and your teammates don’t die. What’s your alternative? Run out mindlessly against DMR spam and concede to pointless deaths? GO TEAM!

Regards the Gauss hog, I guess you mean Exile. Red team get a tank on this map.

The bait and switch, and controlling areas of the map have been staples of competitive play since day one. Maybe you just didn’t play good players often in the other Halo games.

This.

For blue with Guass and Red with turret, you must be talking about Exile. Reason is, Red is WAY closer to the tank than blue is…its an attempt at balance. Gauss hog from Blue can get to the tank just as Red does, and then you go to war. Think about it.

So the OP pretty much hates playing against people intelligent?

The original post here is moronic. Everything he lists are legit strats for winning. The only solution is for everyone to play Team Octagon
